Hi everyone,

just thought I’d post an update of where I’m at right now for anyone looking for timelines etc:

ROC Timeline

6/9 - I-751 package mailed to Arizona PO Box

6/11 - package received at Arizona

6/17 - check cashed

6/23 - called USCIS and was given receipt number by phone as I forgot to include the G-1145 for notifications - MSC case number

7/9 - NOA with 18 month extension received by post (notice dated 6/30)

I’ve not received any news at all regarding biometrics. When checking on my USCIS log in, there are no updates other than “case received”.  My GC is CR1. My I-751 package I sent was not excessive, it was 50 pages total including the application form and weighed less than 1lb. If anyone would like to know what I included, feel free to message me.

One question I have (if anyone knows) is do I have to carry this letter around with me along with my GC as proof of extension? Or can I just keep it in a safe place at home?

Hope this is helpful to someone!

Thank you. My trajectory was similar and I am here to share it (in case some are waiting for responses to their ROCs).

6/15- Sent package via FedEx to Phoenix, AZ

6/16- The packaged arrived at Phoenix

6/19- Check cashed and message received

7/10- NOA with 18 month extension received by post

I will make a copy of this letter and carry it with me only after my GC expires.

Good luck to all of you!

Hey! Same here! Although I made an inquiry on the 5th for non receipt of notice. I am almost positive it’s NOA coming in. I was so itchy to check my UsPs notification and just came in.

Let us know

I was gonna open the inquiry from the 5th too but I just hang on for a little

It is Indeed a NOA for 18 months extension. Date on in was July 01st and I made an inquiry on the July 5th. I know I filled out the application correctly , the name on the Petitioner and Beneficiary is mine and I know it is correct, is yours the same? I just want to make sure... also I noticed they put my name on the recipient part and under as it repeated my name as C/O The big BUT is the last name is spelled WRONG. I am not freaking out though since the Rest is correct in Petitioners and Beneficiaries part.

No need to have the cover letter or affidavits notarized. At least that’s what we did.

There is no need to notarize the cover letter. The official USCIS does not mention that the affidavits be notarized. The affidavit is a self-attestation and is good as notarizing.

I personally didn't notarize it because of COVD situation. I couldn't find anyone to notarize and also I was not comfortable having someone touch all my papers before I could compile everything and touch those papers again in the process.

I-751 mailed on June 7, 2020. Checks deposited today, June 16, 2020.

And away we go!

Received NOA on Saturday, July 11, 2020.

So now the REAL waiting begins. 18 months is an awful long time. Hopefully we will get this taken care of before 18 months pass, because we have full intentions of filing for citizenship in August 2021.

Good luck to all!
