My husband is  in Melbourne while I am in the U.S.

We got DQ and everything approved from NVC on February 10, 2021.

We submitted an expedite request last week based on financial hardship and emotional distress, but it was tried. We will attempt again.

1.) Did anyone get their expedite request approved on the second or third attempt?

2.) Has anyone gotten an interview recently whose application was not expedited? I wonder when Syd will resume full operation and start to schedule interivews.  Thanks!

I assume he has received his passport now?

They print visas and mail on Thursday.

I had my interview on Monday 4th, received passport Friday 8th. Was staying at a hotel round the corner

Could you please share your timeline?

Did you expedite your case at the consulate level? How long did it take between DQ and actually getting an interview date?

Hi Ravin, I closely observed other cases as well and got to know that after 2 months of being DQ then NVC will automatically expedite the case, again it's just my observation on different cases, rest patience is the key

@Ravin GillI got DQ on 18th Feb and same as you, like to know how much is the wait time from DQ to interview date scheduled by NVC? Appreciate, if you can share some insight on this.

Thanks

@ksarna Cool. Please  keep me updated. I will let you know if my second expedite request is approved. I doubt the Sydney Consulate will schedule interviews for normal cases anytime soon. Who knows  when they will resume normal operations.

@Ravin Gill - Do you mind sharing the template (not with details) how you sent an email for expedite request. And where do you send the email (email address)?. I have history of ongoing psychological/ distress issues and will try to use that to expedite my case as well. Thank you.

@ksarnaPlease give me 30-45 mins. I just had dinner. I will share full details.

Again, the consulate denied on our first attempt. So, I submitted yesterday for the second time as there are unlimited attempts to request an expedite.
