Had my interview today. Was no one else in the place. Could t give me an answer as they hadn’t received my medical yet.  But barring anything drastic everything else went fine. Hope everyone still waiting gets good news soon. Hopefully fly out on the 29th this month. Applied for exemption to leave but hadn’t heard anything yet.

What questions did they ask? My interview is 28 July.

Considering it’s against the constitution to stop you from crossing the boarder you’d think getting a permit was easier... who do you even apply to for that one? You driving or flying? Plenty of roads between Vic and NSW 😈 cops can’t cover them all.. what about ACT? Can you fly nsw from there?

You apply via NSW Health. I’ve been told so many conflicting things. I am flying. The last advice received was that going to the consulate is a legal reason to go but ultimately it’s up to the NSW police 🚨 to make the final decision so I need to bring A LOT of proof! 
 

on a side note, my daughter ate my birth certificate so I’m in a mad dash to get another posted before I go for the interview!

Our case left NVC and current says "in transit". Wonder how long before it goes to "ready"? I am assuming it needs to go to "ready" before the embassy will contact us with more details about scheduling the interview?

It will say “New Zealand” or “Consulate” when it’s at the consulate. 
I don’t even recall NVC saying in transit. It’s always said “NVC” or “Sydney”

Progression from dog eating homework 😂😂😂 too funny has to be true lol they’ll hopefully express it before interview.. maybe as ya mom, moms usually hide a spare somewhere for those strange emergency situations like this

Hello, our expedite request for interview at US consulate Sydney was approved today (16 July 2020). Few hours later, i got an email from NVC that my immigrant visa interview was cancelled. However, i never received any emails regarding an interview schedule either from the embassy or NVC before. Is this normal when requesting for an expedite interview?

It just switched over to "ready"  means the embassy has it now!

Yep, this happened to us.We got an email a few hours after expedite approval. There is a thread about it in the NVC forum. When that person called, NVC said its an automated message to clear their interview logs since they are not going to schedule the interview. You will work with the embassy to get it scheduled.

Yes, the CEAC StatTracker tool they have. Not the general CEAC login where you upload documents.

The date keeps changing on mine, but nothing happens haha. It's so bizarre.

Quick question, after the case (CR1/IR1) has been expedited for interview, do we need to contact the US consulate to schedule the interview or just wait for their email?  Thank you

No they schedule it for you and send you and email. Got ours within 3 days
