I would call the place who did your medical tomorrow.  Confirm their process.  For O'Connell Street Clinic in Sydney, they asked me to bring an express post envelope from Aus Post, and they sent me offsite to get my x-ray done.  The Pathology was done in house.  The X-Ray people gave me a CD with my X-ray on it and told me to pack it in my hand luggage in case it's asked for at POE, the medical center then sent the medical results to the consulate directly with the express envelope that I supplied. I was able to track it because I had the number with me of course.

The sealed envelope that you will get once you receive your passport back is to be left sealed and handed to the Customs Officer at POE.  You pack with you in your hand luggage your X-Ray CD (if you got that) and your Vaccination report that you'll supply for AOS... well at least that's my understanding of the K-1 process for the medical.

I leave for Sydney for my interview tomorrow.... even if they did mess up, I wouldn't be able to get there to grab it...

No dramas.  Don't let it worry you.  If you have time, call the medical center tomorrow and ask them if/when they shipped it to the consulate.  I'm assuming you're interviewing on Tuesday (that seems to be the day they do the K-1 and spousal visas)... At least you'll know then before you go in on Tuesday where it is, if it's been delivered, etc.  I mentioned to the CO during my interview that according to the tracking it had been delivered on the Friday before the interview.... so they knew it was there, it just hadn't been processed internally.  Don't be shocked if they give you the 221(g) form for ONLY the medical assuming everything else is fine during your interview as they are light on staff and not processing things as fast as they normally do.... The doctor would have called you by now if there was any problems with the medical.....as in anything that would cause a halt on issuing a visa....but I would be very surprised of anyone in Australia had anything that would cause that based on a medical.

Are you headed back home after the interview??  Or are you staying in Sydney till you receive the packet back and leaving from here?

We had a question about health insurance but weren’t asked to provide evidence. Interview was on 18/8

Have you guys had any movement on your visa?  Mine was issued on Friday!! 😬

I was also asked if I knew what I was doing.... as a fiancée I can't go on her insurance till we are married, so I informed them I would be getting short term insurance with United Health One until that was the case.... Didn't ask for any evidence.... but having bought it before I was confident I knew what I was talking about.

I'm leaving the day after the interview. I don't want to be in Sydney longer than I have to be haha. I just thought going by the posts that maybe I was supposed to be given something by the doctor or the x-ray clinic. Maybe they post it to me or something

did it go from Refused to Issued?

Mine went from:

8/18 - Immigrant - Refused

8/19 - Immigrant - Refused (untouched)

8/20 - Non-Immigrant - Application received (8:40am) - Also the 'case created date changed to 8/20 I guess because it became a Non-Immigrant case

8/20 - Non Immigrant - Administrative Processing (8:42am)

8/21 - Non-Immigrant - Issued (9:10am)

Times are there abouts... but I was checking VERY regularly once I saw the first change on 8/20 and then probably 250 time on 8/20, and another 30-40 times until I saw it change to Issued on 8/21

Passport arrived to me at midday today....I'm literally ready to go.... I can't believe I booked a flight for a whole week away!!! ha ha

Yeah,  the day I got the email from the consulate with the interview information and date and time I applied that evening around 5:40pm (after they close for the day).  at 8:13 am the next morning I had the exemption.... This was around the 6th I think... I used a pdf of the appointment and my NOA 2, and a few docs we used to show the relationship and shared domicile in the USA as other supporting evidence and I started my text box off with 'I am leaving Australia permanently and immigrating to the USA' and repeated that a couple of times more along with me explaining that I am moving on a fiancee visa, and that I will be unable to travel once I adjust my status for 12-18 months as a condition on the AOS. (didn't go into explaining AP or any of that).  It was probably the easiest part of the whole process... ha ha.  For me at least.

I'm flying with United on the 31st.  Looking forward to it... and a nice quiet airport. :)

Oh that’s so good! I think the only perk of travelling/immigrating during a pandemic in a quiet airport 😂

october 8. It would have been sooner if I got my visa approved on the day of the interview 😂

That delayed everything by 2 weeks and it takes time to give notice at work, my rental and pack my house up.

But I’ve got the exemption and my daughters NZ transit visa too. So we are all set just need to finish the house, clean and we’re off ✈️
