New Zealand did nothing special... I actually think Aus and NZ acted too soon not with ref to international travel, but with lockdowns... covid hit mid summer, winters arrival was always going to see an increase in cases..

How long has your husband been earning that much? How about last 3 years? I heard they ask for co-sponsor if only recent income is high but not previous income.

2019 tax return was $0 as he was in Australia. Started working April 2020

before that he served 6 years US navy.

That might be the reason why the CO asked for co-sponsor.

I cannot travel to Sydney due to Coronavirus restrictions, NSW said they will not give me a permit.

 

Can ANYONE please let me know how long the embassy will hold onto my application before completely trashing it and making me start again?

No idea... but think they’ll keep hold of it until you either miss the interview get denied.. recommend you email them ASAP explaining you need appointment delayed until covid restrictions lifted due to travel permit etc... it seems a justifiable reason to me or any other realistic person..

I think so too. Police have now fined one person in Sydney from Vic due to going to an embassy for a visa. What a time.

It took exactly 2 weeks but we finally heard from the consulate on scheduling an interview and hit Ready!

 

In my email, the consulate is allowing reschedules and delays due to Covid and personal reasons.
