Thanks kindly for pointing this out. I am waiting for an EB2 visa interview. PD will be current for January 2024 visa bulletin. Keeping my fingers crossed for the interview date

No worries, as this is a thread in the spouse visa forum I just thought I’d flag it so that anybody reading knows why you’ve had to wait longer. At least you know you’ll join the queue in Jan, hope you don’t have to wait too long. Best of luck.

Congrats. Which visa category is yours? I am waiting on EB2 which requires the priority date on visa bulletin to become and remain current for a visa interview

Oh ok yeah the category does matter.. I didn’t even think of that. We are I-130

Hi everyone,

Please share any new updates you know about the processing times. Many like me have no other sources than this page.

Many thanks 🙏🏻

Hi Amylee,

I'm also waiting for an interview for the EB2-NIW, have you been scheduled anything yet?

Cheers

This thread is in the spouse visa section, but your timeline says your PD is April 2023? If that's right then you can't be scheduled for an interview until your PD is current, there's no visa available to you.

My PD date is Jan 2023, I'm just trying to get an insight on how long the embassy is taking to schedule interviews. I'm a pilot working in America and need to travel internationally so the AOS route isn't going to work for me. Is there another thread for the EB categories?

There are a few threads for EB applicants, not sure there are any specifically for Oz applicants though. Spousal applicants will always get priority for interviews, but you can use their timelines as a rough guide. And hopefully when your PD is current and you get added to the queue for an interview wait times will have come down a bit.

Good luck.

Hi, have you received the interview letter from US consulate Sydney? When is your priority date please? My priority date is late Sep 2022 (EB2 - NIW), DQed on July 2023. I am trying to figure out what is the current time for EB visas in US consulate Sydney. Thank you

I’m curious to learn if you join the queue based off your DQ date or priority date….

I have received the first 60 days reminder emails after my priority date became current this month. But I got DQed mid last year and they mention the DQ date in the email. Not sure how it works.

Hey chy28 curious when you received the DQ confirmation?

I am awaiting an EB based interview in Montreal Canada (have both Aussie and Canadian passports) - I was DQ'd in June last year - and have heard recently there is a 2 year turn around for EB interviews being scheduled by the NVC in Montreal. Thinking of transferring to an Australian based consulate but sounds like it might be out of the frying pan into the frier. Have been avoiding AOS as travel is important, but might be my best route.

Thanks for the info and good luck!
