This only works if your biometrics was cancelled due to Covid-19 but I don’t think it’s anyone’s case here

One of my friend has called for a fresh schedule and they have asked to wait for 90 days since ASC is open and call back. In two more weeks she will call back. Will update if it works out.

You are right!  From my experience, which is just a little bit different from this situation, i realized that USCIS customer agents are not a resource you should depend on.. Its way better for the mum to go with her child and explain the situation, cus those ASC workers have more sense than customer agents... Customer agents will only leave you thirsty for more information LOL

I long ago stopped having any expectation that these people will do anything fairly or correctly.

At NO point in our entire process, from the K1 Visa until now, have these people done ANYTHING right.  We have been subjected to one mistake after another and outright incompetence from the start.  None of our delays were the result of anything we did incorrectly.

I have said it before and I will repeat it again.  This process has nothing to do with how well you prepare your evidence and documents.  It is fully dependant on which person ends up with your file and if that person cares enough and is competent enough to do their job.

We have not been fortunate in that regard at any point.

I hear you, we've also had a hard time filing and then refiling for trivial mistakes.

Does anybody have a clue how reliable VisaJourneys estimates are? In my timeline on here, it says I should expect my AP and EAD around Nov. 9.

Seems to be in line with the fact that May filers are getting theirs now. Thoughts?

There is an app called “lawfully”. Check that out. People says it’s pretty reliable.

Wonderful. Thanks for the info and this is so helpful for new applicants (after the ASC opening).

Awesome, thank you!! I downloaded it and it says AP estimated between Oct. 1 and Nov. 28, so looking good for Christmas back home!

Fingers crossed for all of us!

Tier 2 Agent said they definitely would not do my wife's biometrics without an appointment notice...so that is out.

They have really nice rules and processes in place that protect these people from any kind of accountability for screwing up the most basic of tasks.

Like not scheduling an 11 year olds biometrics without her mothers...given that the child's adjustment of status is tied to the mothers.

Complete stupidity...

Update...

We attended the biometrics appointment for my 11yo step daughter (k2).

Upon arrival I had an indepth conversation with the IO there and explained  that my wife(k1) and our step daughter had filed AOS(I485/I765/I131) concurrently yet we had only been scheduleded the one biometrics for the I765 for the little girl.

He went into his system and tried to locate an appointment for my wife and was unable to find anything.

He said ASCs may not do walkins.  There must be a current appointment in the system.

He said it made no sense that my wife did not have any appointment scheduled and the daughter did.  They should be done together.   He apologized that there was nothing he could do other than generate another service request and we would just have to wait.

Unfortunately we have never heard anything from the other service request generated on this very issue before we went to the appointment

He seemed like he genuinely wanted to be able to help but there was no process for him to do so.

Lovely...

Can't say I expected anything other than disappointment and further delays and mistakes.

They literally can not do anything right...

This is annoying!! This Tuesday morning I am calling USCIS since it will be 90 days since ASC opened in Alexandria, VA. Hopefully they give me the appointment... the waiting is being crazy long.
