That's awesome!! Congrats.  Did you include your DS-3025 with your initial AOS package?

Hoping everything goes smoothly from this point forward!!

Yes I did, and I very stupidly sent the original and forgot to make a copy of it 😬 lol so I'm going to call the place that did my medical exam back in London to try and get a copy before my interview

Congratulations to everyone that got their interview notice already!

Can’t help feeling slightly jealous and frustrated about the DC field office and Alexandria ASC being so slow. No biometrics appointment or nothing yet. No progress on my case since I got the NOAs. Patience is key... patience is key...

Good luck to you, I recognise I am extremely lucky to be getting my interview so soon, I wish everybody else strength and best wishes in their wait! ❤

You're about a month behind me, so hopefully you should be getting a biometrics appointment for early to mid-September. Same as you I know that we have no hope of an interview notice for DC before the middle of next year...

Also a flag in case you didn't see my other post - as it was specifically about the Alexandria ASC

Congrats and good luck with your interview. My NOA was 2 weeks before you and I’m still waiting biometrics app. Hopefully September is the month for me and others.

Until then it’s me and Informed Delivery and 6 AM everyday 😂😂😂

Hi,

Were you able to expedite the biometrics by contacting the local congressional office?!  If you don't mind me asking, what reasons did you, or can you, give that result in expediting this?

And what's an infopass appointment?

I'm waiting for my bio appt and USCIS just telling me to wait 90 days from ASC opening before I call again.  🤭

My grandfather passed away and I want to go home to attend his funeral.

Oh wow.. I'm terribly sorry for you loss.

And that experience with USCIS sounds horrible!

It really sux (I could say more, but wont) that they make you jump so many hoops - even when it's so obvious that the situation is an emergency.

Thank you for your kind words. And I checked my original post about the expedite experience I don't know why I typed "wedding" when I meant "funeral" (and VJ doesn't let me edit anymore), I guess it's because on marriage based AOS threads we talk about our SO and weddings all the time lol. So anyways if anyone read that and was wondering, here's the clarification.

Honestly I'm not sure which part of my effort worked, calling relentlessly for weeks, or contacting the congressman. I'm also fully aware that just because I got my biometrics appointment doesn't mean there's guarantee the USCIS will expedite my case. At this point I'm just glad it's moving forward.
