Hi Shan,

I'm a concurrent filer.  Can you tell me how I can find & follow concurrent filers on VJ?  Are you a concurrent filer?

I did my application to the Chicago lockbox in mid June and haven't heard a peep since the initial NOAs.  I call USCIS every week and get the same response - basically "there's no update".

I wonder how other concurrent filers are progressing...

Hey!

Sorry for the confusion. When I say concurrent filers, I mean people parallel June filers (coz istm is an August filer). I filed with an approved petition. Sorry!

We had biometrics yesterday - woke up this morning that our case is ready to be scheduled for interview!  So it seems like they are expediting the I-485.

This is great Susan. Glad to hear that Connecticut is also scheduling interviews. All the very best!

I guess one parameter is the local office your case is assigned. Maybe it is backlogged for biometrics. You are in New York which might be “busy” or heavily backlogged due to lockdown there.

Yeah, I read in this and other threads that NYC probably has a big backlog.

Ohhh makes sense. Basically June is a good base for me to understand the process and hoping for a similar pattern :) Especially you are the only profile with employment based category ;)

There is GCJack too. His timeline is ahead of me. He had submitted his I-693 along with AOS. So he didn’t get a RFE. Didn’t see any updates from him lately.

What is your EB2 category? NIW ?

I am not NIW. My company did a PERM and then EB2. Funny thing is that I am O1 visa holder and hence they could do EB1. Anyway I am from EU and hence no difference regarding visa bulletin for me.

It seems an obstacle is the backlog for getting biometrics. It is steady 3-4 months. One way it is reduced is be reuse of biometrics for EAD/AP renewals. Also after October the naturalization ceremonies will be drastically reduced :) Hence this leaves some more space for biometrics
