That’s true. May be they don’t update for biometrics.

I did not submit I-693, along with AOS package. I am planning to take it to my interview. In April/May I have heard that USCIS sent RFE for I-693, and now since the offices are open they send the courtesy letter.

I believe that I sent the long form of the birth certificate. My country only provide one form of translations.

I remember you gave your biometrics two days before me. Have you got any updates since then?

No update post biometrics.

Thanks for the encouragement. *Pretty* different timeline though...our I-130 was approved in Oct 2019. We were DQ at NVC and waiting for a consular interview to be scheduled when we decided to apply for AOS

Good luck all the same.

I had a question for you @KAP2019, if you don't mind. Like you, we had our DQ in September 2019 and due to backlog at Montreal consulate, we never got our interview. So we decided to go on AOS route since we are in US on a different visa.

I was wondering if you need to do anything about your original application through NVC or they will just transfer it (or discard) to USCIS. Please let me know if you have any idea. TIA.

I asked a fellow VJ member this question when we filed and she said it's quicker for you to let USCIS handle it. They will request your petition back from NVC. On the I-485 form, we put our current status (waiting for interview) where it asks about previous petitions/applications. They can deal with it from there. Our case hadn't yet been forwarded to Montreal consulate because we were DQ in April when the consulate was already closed. I don't know if that changes anything or not. Did you have an interview scheduled already? :(

March 2019: Married, Filed I-130 in April 2019

Biometrics Jan 7, 2021 (notice dated Dec 12, received Dec 22)
Case updated to 'Interview Scheduled' (Jan 19, 2021, received letter Jan 25)

February 24! Interview! New Card being produced!

Feb 25, 2021: Case approved.

March 1, 2021: Card was mailed

March 4, 2021: Green Card Received! 🥳

March 25, 2021: SSN Application

No, we were very close to getting interview, it seemed. It's still with NVC. My lawyer suggested same thing as you. I hope that doesn't delay the process.

Been "stalking" other Boston filers and lots from February and March haven't had their biometrics appointments yet. :(
Getting impatient.

Hello, We are from Boston as well and have not received it yet . June filers tho but a good friend of us is January filer and he got his appointment canceled few months ago and when he called them 2 weeks ago to check up  they told him that they opened the offices July 13th and he should be receiving letter not later than 13th of August and he has not received it yet...

Good to know. Doesn't look like there are too many of us (at least on VJ). Hopefully they can get caught up quickly. 🤞🏻

I know not many on VJ but the aria we live ( 30 min from Boston) probably 60% of the population is foreigners lol. It is very international place so I am assuming the will cought up slower than other places in US.  Patience is the key! :)

Filed: AOS (pnd) Country: Turkey
Timeline

So here's what happened.. We didn't got any biometrics appointment letter and we have been trying to get some information about military spouse walk-ins for 3 days now. Today finally I got to chance to speaking with a Tier 2 agent and it turned out I have an appointment tomorrow morning and I didn't get any notice and my USCIS website status never changed. Thanks God I called, I was gonna miss my appointment.

Even then, you should have an appointment letter physical copy. Copy will have bar code to scan at the center and page 3 will need to be filled manually by applicant (name/height/race/weight etc ..).  How are you planning to do deal ?
