we originally filed in May but then We got an RFE in June and they started working on our case again in June so I thought it was appropriate to post here. Sorry if this isn’t the right place.

Wow that's fast ,the appointment is one week after you received your letter!!

We were thinking in going for a week to the beach now in August or something like that, but I wonder if I should avoid that. I don't want to miss the letter and hence the appointment.

Yeah second time around I just took out the copy of I-130 I included that was supposed to be FYI and sent everything back in and got accepted NP.

Detailed timeline please refer to my signature.

Your timeline says you got an RFE.

Thats quite different from having your case rejected entirely like we were.

With an RFE you at least have a path to rectify the issue.

Not so when your case is rejected and sent back.  Even worse is when they do it and they are 100% wrong in doing so as in our case.

6 weeks they had our case...only to reject it for an invalid reason.

Now we are into the 3rd week after sending it back and we wait yet again for God knows what this time around.

Excuse my lack of any confidence in this awful system.

I don't know what caused you the confusion, but my entire package was rejected and sent back to me because of a mistake USCIS made as I explained to you earlier today.

I wrote a new check, sent in the whole package for a second time, then got a RFIE.

May I ask what the RFE for?

I put the wrong house hold size. My laptop auto populated the house hold size to one for some reason, when it should have been two. I didn’t know how to change it until someone on here was kind enough to explain it to me. I got the RFE and was able to change it luckily. Hopefully no more RFEs.

Glad it was a easy fix. Good luck!
