Really

I had a similar issue also, they rejected my EAD saying incorrect fee. They claim you don't get EAD and travel document fee waived when filing AOS, only one of them.

Really? This seems opposite of everyone else's experience. Even the agent to whom I spoke had to ask a coworker about the fees. Such a confusing mess!

I finally found the June AOS forum!! Woohoo.

We switched from CR-1 consular processing because of Covid. Consulate in Montreal, Canada is still pretty much halted. It feels like starting over, but we are thankful to be done with long distance marriage!

AOS submitted - June 10

Received - June 13
Cheque Cashed - July 16

I changed my phone number in between submitting application and now, so I won't be receiving any texts. 😬
Waiting for NOAs in the mail...waiting, waiting...

Congratulations! My check was cashed on 7/16 as well. What time did you receive the text? Is there a specific time that USCIS sends out texts and emails?

I also received my texts 12AM. I have seen many people saying they got them at mid night.

Hello everyone,

Is there anyone here who applied for AOS under F2B category? If yes, would you be able to share your experience?

My dad applied for citizenship this year, who is waiting for his interview. My priority date is current for next month (August 2020) under F2B and I'm not sure if it would be wise to apply under that category or wait for my dad to become a citizen and apply under F1.

Since when is that required?

Its not a requirement per se but a best practice if you want to only pay one fee.  The fee for I131 and I765 is waived if you file at the same time as I485.  Based on other's comments and videos on youtube its the best way to inform whomever is processing your file that you're filing concurrently on each cover letter.

The fact that anyone would need to explain that to the people screening these cases is the exact problem.

Why else would you include forms i765 and i131 in the packet with your i485 unless you were filing concurrently???

... which is completely untrue, as per USCIS' fee calculator, and the experience of pretty much everyone here (including us).

I got it this evening. However, the appointment is in August. May be there is lesser backlog in Connecticut

You’re probably right. Glad to see some people are starting to get Biometrics appointment letters!
