It is interesting, folks want more gun laws such as the one demonstrated above, and they also want to get rid of the police.  So in many states taking a gun away from someone who might be having a hard time is against the law.  I listen to Kirby Wilbur occasionally, and he sometimes relates a story when the wife of a friend of his was having some medical issues and she asked Kirby to take his guns away temporarily, but the gun laws in Oregon made that potential act of kindness unlawful.

i really dislike red flag laws - they may have good intent, but in practice they can be used by someone with an ax to grind.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

just to clarify, is it okay if I post concern about the political bias of some of the news (that may or may not be fully factual) shared on here?

or was it that I quoted a specific poster?

or is that disagreeing with the thread would get a post removed?

just more clarification for next time bc I notice it happens a lot with posts that go against right-biased talking points. also would love to be pointed to any rules or official forum guides on this info. thanks.

In practice these laws attacking American rights are overwhelmingly targeted at opposing political demographics. I would be remiss to ignore, however, that there are also plenty of spineless people with no desire to force those to prove the justification unequivocally, as rights are not to be given away or chipped away at just because of some momentary political whim.. rarely do we get those rights back, and when these "protections" fail, it's always more that needs to be given up. In the end, the only thing proven is, rights gone.

Looking at the way state and city government (e.g. mayor/governor) pathetic law enforcement policies work, there's never more need for the second amendment.

well its impossible for the latter bc im not upset, moreso humored lol, so the first

and im not suggesting that a source was misquoted. but is it a violation of TOS to post that a source may be biased, especially if the title contains charged wording/description thats not really based on fact but opinion (ie. use of the word "terrible").
