You should be able to see it online if you applied online.

Under "your cases", go to documents and click on receipt notice link. It should show you the letter you are expecting in the mail.

I would wait for the green card since it specifically asks for that, otherwise the application might be incomplete.

Aren't alot of people applying with their letter of extension and their application still went through ?? Can a application be rejected because it is incomplete? If yes, how come the people who upload their letter of extension instead of their gc didn't get rejected?

Just curious 😊

It asks specifically for the front and back of your green card, not the extension letter. I personally haven't read of anyone that uploaded the extension letter INSTEAD of the green card, but am curious if some have done so. I imagine you can upload both though.

And of course applications get rejected when they are incomplete, or are missing mandatory evidence.

And I think in your particular case, because your 10 GC was approved, it will be even more necessary to add it since the extension letter is probably void now. I added my conditional one because my case hasn't been approved. Waiting a couple of weeks to submit your form won't hurt you, but in the end it's your choice of course.

You made a very brilliant point.

He needs to wait to have the already approved GC sent with his N-400 application.

Applicants who don't have their permanent GCs approved yet have no other choice than to use their temporary GCs.

They would not upload their extension letter but the "old" GC. They just want to see the resident since date on the card to make sure you filed within the timeframe allowed and with the 3 vs 5 year.

Quick Question, do the people who get N400 approved and oath ceremony done have to apply for N-600, Application for Certificate of Citizenship. Or who has to apply for N600 ?

Your naturalisation certificate is your proof of citizenship. The N-600 Citizenship certificate is applied for by children as proof of their citizenship if gained from parents who naturalised or they were adopted and then need the proof.

okay thank you. It means we do not have to apply for it. Once we get N400 done, we are done :)

Yep if you have no kids who needs it then yes just the passport and ssa and you'll be done :)

Our son was born here and has his US Passport already. Yup, I will have to get updated SS card, US passport, and then apply to lose my Indian citizenship, we can't have dual citizenship if you're from India

What does the estimated wait time in my account home page means? It says 12 days. Is it the wait until the next step which is the Biometrics? I can see the timeline coincides with my local ASC opening date of July 13 (Alexandria VA)

I think it means time until the next step as in the time it will pass until you get the notification of when are you supposed to go get your biometrics taken. So not necessarily getting in in twelve days, but knowing when can they see you in twelve days.

If it helps, I filed yesterday online.. got the receipt today and my messages changed to Wait Time: 14 days. Also, estimated completion time is 12 months... so July 2021. :( Oh well, we are all familiar with the wait game by now. .: I Will Stay Positive :.

Cheers,
