I'm going to file my N-400 this week.  I got stucked on this part.  Is it okay to just send the latest bank and credit card statements (06/2020) only?  And the latest mortgage bill(06/2020)?  And the current insurance policies only? Or should I send all the statements from 2017-2020 period?  Please help.

Evidence about your marriage

Upload documents showing that you and your current spouse have lived as a married couple for at least 3 years. Make sure the text is readable. Some examples include:

  • Joint bank and credit card statements
  • Leases or mortgages
  • Birth certificates of children
  • Insurance policies
  • IRS-certified copies of income tax forms you and your spouse filed for the past 3 years or an IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years

We sent statements from 2017 to present, but did every 4 months for each bank/institution to cover the entire period.

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

Hi guys, i only came to the states since 2017 but in the n400 for they are asking where i have lived for the past 5 years. I only lived here for 3 years. Should i include my home address outside of the states since they are asking for 5 years living history?

Because when i put only the 3 years worth of addresses i get this message. (Check attachment)

Yes, you would include your last address where you lived prior to coming to the US.  For me, I had lived at the same address from 2010 up until 2017 when I came to the US so I included that foreign address with those dates (July 1 2010 to May 1 2017).

Good luck everyone!

I have 2 questions regarding tax evidence and traffic citations, which would be great if someone knows the answers.

1.When filing under 5 years, do you still need to upload the tax transcripts of the last 5 years? I understand that you'd do this as a marriage additional evidence, but is this something required or recommended to include even when you file as none-marriage case (i.e., 5 years)?

2. It was mentioned here that you needed to mention all the traffic citation tickets for the past five years. Is there any reference or website which can show anyone's citation nationwide? I might have forgotten something happened in other states (I am thinking whether there is one similar to travel histories; which thanks to that, I found some errors in my travel date notes).

Hi everyone,

I am collecting evidence for my N400 application and I have two questions:

1. My 10-year green card recently got approved but I have not received the card in the mail yet. Is it okay to file the N400 without a copy of the 10-year green card? I received a notice a few days ago from the USCIS saying it can take up to 60 days for me to receive it.

2. I have two affidavit of support letters dated in May and June of this year that were used for my I751 RFE. Is it okay to reuse these two letters for the N400? The letters are addressed to California Service Center.

Thank you!

I’d wait until I receive the green card and for affidavit I’d NOT use it

looks like with the COVID crisis, I will not get the process complete before my greencard expires. Its only likely to be a month difference right now, should I be pursuing an I-90 just incase? or is there a way to get an short extension?

Good morning everyone,  I am filling N400 on papers from,  on page 6 I have more than 3 work histories for the last 5 years,  they wrote that I can use separate paper if I have no enough space,  my question is can I print page 6 twice and and continue writing 4/5/ ? Or should I use a blank paper and write everything by hand? Thank you

I filed by paper and had a similar situation for work history - I included the other info on a blank sheet of paper.  From the instructions, I wrote my name and A number at the top of the extra pages.

I would wait for the green card since it specifically asks for that, otherwise the application might be incomplete.
