Hey Everyone! We are getting ready to file our application tomorrow but I had a question: What did you guys attach for "Additional Evidence"? There's a section already for "Evidence about your marriage" for bank statements, Insurance, etc, so I wasn't sure what kinds of things do you put for Additional Evidence or do you even have to put anything there? Thanks!

Just submitted n-400 online today (I'm impressed by that capability!)

Dumb question: my GC expires Dec 13 2020, judging by the processing times, I'm right up against that window. Should I go ahead and file to renew my GC at the same time? It seems like the processing times for that are about the same, and I'd hate to be out the extra $500-odd dollars if there's not much point.

Can't believe I'm back on VJ 10 years after filing DCF from Canada, feels like an eon!

Does adding "additional evidence" make any difference ?  I guess I could add tax transcript, would have to request, not sure how long it takes these days. Worth doing more " if" additional evidence is considered.  GCH for 25 years, time flies :-)).

ASC's offices are still closed. They mentioned they will do a phased opening starting July 13th. Filers in March are still waiting on Biometrics, those can only be done in your local jurisdiction.

I'm going to file my N-400 this week.  I got stucked on this part.  Is it okay to just send the latest bank and credit card statements (06/2020) only?  And the latest mortgage bill(06/2020)?  And the current insurance policies only? Or should I send all the statements from 2017-2020 period?  Please help.

Evidence about your marriage

Upload documents showing that you and your current spouse have lived as a married couple for at least 3 years. Make sure the text is readable. Some examples include:

  • Joint bank and credit card statements
  • Leases or mortgages
  • Birth certificates of children
  • Insurance policies
  • IRS-certified copies of income tax forms you and your spouse filed for the past 3 years or an IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years
