How do you know where the passport is being processed from the record locator number?

Thanks!

The first two digits usually indicate where it is being processed.  Here are some I found:

10 - Boston

14 - Stamford

34 - Charleston

42 - New Orleans

51 - Miami

53 - Seattle

55 - Dallas

57 - San Francisco

61 - Tucson

68 - New Hampshire

74 - Atlanta

78 - El Paso

79 - Houston

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

Hi guys,

I already had my interview 2 weeks ago and am awaiting a decision to be made. I decided to check my account this morning to discover another interview appointment sent today, scheduled for October 20, but this time, at my new homes field office as I had moved 1 years after applying...anyone else experience this?

Where was the interview you had two weeks ago?  Was it a different office?

Yes, a different field office, Jacksonville, the same I did the biometrics.

Hmm I'm surprised they did an interview at your old field office.  I've never heard of this situation but i guess they'll redo the interview or maybe it's just the oath, not sure?

Might be worthwhile to call USCIS to inform them of the situation and in parallel send them a message in your online USCIS account (assuming you created one).  Was the new notification for interview or oath ceremony?

It was through the online system which I saw the letter and even in checking multiple times, it does say interview and not oath. I will try to inform them both ways, thanks much. It's got me nervous!

Finally… 6 months after the interview being approved I got my notice. My ceremony will be on 10/15/21. I didn’t think I would happen this year.

Now the only conundrum is… what to wear… lol.

Some positive info for those of you who are new citizens (Congtats) and need to get your US Passport. My wife submitted her passport application along with her original naturalization certificate😱 for a passport book and card at our local post office on September 10. We chose normal delivery time and was told up to16 weeks😵💫. I checked the application status a about a week later after my check was cashed and it showed it was received and was in process. This past weekend, I checked my Informed Mail through USPS and saw that a package or trackable envelope was scheduled to be delivered from the passport/DOS office in Arizona. I assumed they were returning her naturalization certificate which I was relieved because of the value it holds and she needs it to take care of some other business. Today I checked my Informed Mail and saw that a separate envelope was being delivered today from Virginia which is where my passport card came from when I renewed my passport book and card earlier this year. I checked the DOS site this morning and it showed that her passport application had been approved and she should receive her passport book and card by September 29th. Wow 😮!!! So basically, it took 3 weeks for my wife to get her US Passport book and card and not 16 weeks. I am so glad I didn’t waste an extra $60.00 on expedited service. Now we are officially done !!!!

I just checked my passport status today and it is already on its way! I submitted the application on Sept 17. Four weeks is a reasonable turnaround time! Thought I would share this here. I am glad that they have caught up with the summer backup.

Great!  We submitted a passport application for our newborn on September 20 and it arrived in 3 weeks!  Similarly, submitted passport application on September 13 after Naturalization ceremony and it arrived in 3 weeks.  We are still awaiting the citizenship evidence to be returned.

Hello Vjers,

Received an email from USCIS today saying an action had been taken on my case.

Happy to announce that my interview has been scheduled for the end of the month. I saw the PDF letter online but am yet to receive it in the mail.

Time to completion bumped from 8 months to 13 months on the online tool. Not that it means anything, but just thought I'd mention it.

One more step toward the end goal.

Hang in there those still waiting. Easier said than done, I know. You are all in my prayers!
