Thank you for the quick response. So you had a pending interview for I-751? I am only curious because I only have interview for N400 and would want to know if i would need any additional documents to go with. Thanks once again.

Yes, even if the letter is only for N400, take your spouse with you and also take some recent documents showing the bona fide marriage. Your spouse can wait in the car if not needed, but better be prepared than have to reschedule

How you call and which number to get schedule appointment for biometric ?

can you guide me please. I didn’t got any biometric notice. I submitted my application June -2020.

I used the Ask Emma chat and got a hold of Tier 1. They were kind enough to put a Tier 2 callback for me - which didn't happen till almost 9-10 business days. The Tier 2 agent was the one who scheduled my biometrics. I've been told that not all Tier 2 Agents did that, so YMMV.

Which field office are you in if you don't mind me asking? Also, did you confirm that your biometrics are not being reused?

Great. I never had luck with that. Was it outside your case processing center's time window?

Nope. I just reached out 90 days after the ASC reopened as that's what I was told - took me a few tries but I finally got thru a TIER 2.

Hey Congrats!  I've heard of it.  A friend of mine had to go to  Montgomery AL for her interview because Atlanta was bombarded with applications, that was last year.   I thought about transferring to the Palm Beach FL local office when their wait time was like 3 months but I was told by USCIS that unless I move to that area I couldn't  :(

USCIS told me that they can change the local office you applied to, if that office was too busy on their discretion.

Thank you!

Yes, Atlanta’s office waiting time could be like around 36 months!

I know people who waited over 2 years for their interview.

I hope you will get your interview notice soon!!!

I usually go thru emma and ask for live rep. Eventually one of them helped me out and scheduled a tier 2 callback for biometrics. I got the call in about 9-10 days instead of 7 and the tier 2 agent got my biometrics set up.

Just so I can understand a little better:  Are you saying that the phone call resulted in an appointment for biometrics without ever receiving a letter first for an appointment?  Thanks....

Correct - I filed end of June and was told to wait 90 days after the ASC reopened to expect an appointment. I waited till that time elapsed (sometime at the end of October since the local ASC opened 7/20 IIRC). I got the usual generic responses of the application being in the queue for biometrics etc - this happened a couple of times. Eventually, I asked the Tier 1 rep to schedule a Tier 2 call for me which was the 15th of December - which she did. I got the call back on the 31st, and the Tier 2 agent was very sympathetic and scheduled me for a biometrics appointment.

I've heard folks say that it's not always possible that TIER 2 schedules the appointment, but it was possible for me. It was almost 6 months since filing so I guess she was being nice ! lol

Hi there,

I passed the Interview on 16Feb2021 it was in the afternoon (3:30 completed), they called me next day morning so I went back the next day to take an Oath (1:00PM). Orlando FL office.

In short, I had a pending i751 too, they didn't let her in first then the IO asked me to go get her, I called her and security let her in.

He did ask her few questions about out marriage, my details and things about our child also. They knew a lot of stuff and even knew about her parents. My IO was a retired from Army so are my in-laws. Maybe that is the reason he knew about them or asked about it.

He told her to sit quiet and sit on a chair behind the one I was sitting and he started asking me questions about the N400. He asked civics questions as well as the yes/no answers.

By the time, we got done, he had not heard from his supervisor about the I751, so he didn't approve my N400 that time. It was approved later that afternoon though and as I said they called me next morning to take on Oath on 17February. I applied for my passport on 17Feb21 and once I get that, I will have to renunciate my Indian citizenship. I am done with USCIS, but I still have a lot of paperwork to do :) thanks for checking on me

Thank you for sharing and congratulations! Did you ask them maybe why 751 took so long?...

Hi there! Trying to gage how long my Tier 2 callback will take. Were you on the 3 day high priority call back?

So I was told that it would be 7 business days for a Tier 2 callback...I waited till 8 and then asked tier 1 if I was cancelled or something. They said no, I'm on the list for sure. Eventually a day or 2 later is when I got the call.

I was told 14 days for Tier 2 callback.

No I didn't. I knew my I751 had YSC-xxxxxxx and Potomac service center was the slowest. I can tell you that they had my file and my information in that file from when I first sent out the I485 form in 2016. I can read the Des Moines, Iowa field office had sent over the files. So, make sure you know your applications or the places where you have lived
