Also, when I created the last service request, last 3 digits of service requests number shows the abbreviation of my local office, and all previous requests showed MSC. For example before it was something like SR1111111MSC, and last time it is SR11111111TUC ( Tucson).

Very interesting observation, I think you are on to something here.  I have communicated with USCIS from my online account using the category, "A case already filed online".  The response  case number received does not have any letters before it or after it, just a series of 8 numbers.  Is a service request the same as inquiring via email from my account regarding the status of my case?

No, i do service requests online through uscis. Sent messages through my account also, but it takes longer for answer...choose option “did not receive notice via mail” on the uscis site. It will give your SR number immediately after filing.

I did a request online and as you mentioned above.  Immediately after I submitted the request  it gave me a case number ending with the letters MIA (Missing in Action :-) ) which stand for the local Miami field office.  I guess we should learn soon if your observation has any important significance as to the movement of our cases through the USCIS system.  I'll keep on posting if I detect any changes.  Best to you.

I logged into the myUscis account and noticed that I now have an Estimated Completion Date saying "August 2021 (8 months)" and a notice saying that "We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time."

I'd filed via paper in June 2020. No word on biometrics yet

Ok...so I created again SR online for missed biometrics and now I see last 3 digits is as MSC...but before it was digits of my local field office...OK...

I guess there is a lesson in all of this: It's not worth trying to analyze the methods of USCIS...Mine still shows MIA (Miami).  I am not going to hold my breath thinking I will be done in April 2021.  :-)

I got a call back from Tier 2 who scheduled my biometrics for Feb 2nd 2021 at 9 AM as that was the first availabilty. My online case status updated (wait time is 6 months, which is weird). My case status now says that biometrics has been scheduled.

An's N-400 was filed online June 23. Interview was December 23, and she passed! Case status shows "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled," and gives an estimated completion date of August, 2021. However, she has a friend that had an interview earlier in December at the same office (St. Louis), and she has already been notified that her Oath Ceremony will be in January - so hopefully An's won't be far behind.

Same here.

Happy New Year! I just wanted to know when last did you check your estimated timeline. Cos mine keep moving back and forth. This morning I saw June 2021 and it was March 2021 this Tuesday. I hope everything is fine. Just curious. Thanks
