Looks like a lot of folks received these biometrics letters in the last few days

June 23rd PD (6 months to date) still waiting on biometrics (reuse/new letter). Hoping for a Christmas miracle...

Have a USCIS letter arriving today (thank you USPS Informed Delivery), so I logged on to myUSCIS. Nothing obvious had changed, but on checking the 'Documents' tab for my naturalization application, I saw a new letter dated 12/14/2020.

'Biometric Reuse'

Body of the letter is as follows:

U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received your form and is currently processing your application, petition, or request. This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometric data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.

USCIS is continuing to process your application, petition, or request. USCIS will contact you in writing if any additional information is necessary to resolve your case.

So, I am appreciative that they can (a) reuse my relatively recent biometrics (last year), (b) I won't have to go back to the service center until my interview, and (c) made it super clear that they are actually reusing - I know there was some confusion on some of the threads here on whether this was happening. Still not on track to have an interview until late summer 2021, but this at least helps.

Happy holidays everyone!

Thank you for the update.  I did biometrics a year ago for I-751 so hopefully they will reuse that.  Happy Holidays!

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

My N400 estimated time keep on increasing. Previously when i submitted on June 3rd 2020, the estimated time was February 2021 and later jumped to May 2021 and checking it now it has been changed to June 2021. Is there anyone in the same situation? And please anyone with an experience should advice. Thanks

My estimated timeline when I submitted in June was March 2021, then went to April 2021 and last week, May 2021.

I have similar experience. Every two months additional two months are added to my estimated completion time. It's like things are not moving at all.

Mine has been going in the opposite direction, instead of increasing it has been decreasing. Currently it states April 2021 as a completion date.  It was as high as November 2021 but every month or two  since I filed on July 3, 2020 it's been going down.  I wish I could take it as a Xmas morning gift but I know it will change for the worse because they haven't given me a fingerprint appointment as of yet.  But since it's Xmas I'll believe in miracles and believe that I will have my citizenship in April of 2021.  Happy holidays to all, including USCIS.

Increased estimated processing times also from Jan 2021 to May 2021(( and not a word on biometrics.

guys, can I ask everyone of you to check something? When we login to my account uscis portal, does everyone see this, about the profile? Also, when you press “profile” what does everyone see? For me it’s like this “you cannot edit address during this stage of adjudication process, blablabla”....May be it means that case is finally at the local field office...thanks.

Mine shows that I can edit the address. Maybe you are close to getting your biometric appoitment. What is your estimated wait time?

It was 1 month until 2 days ago...now it’s 5!!!!!!!! Hope it’s a glitch... but this thing about the address that I can’t change it, I see already for approximately 2,5-3 weeks...

Oh, sorry, you meant wait time, well it’s just shows “taking longer”...

Are you sure it states that you can edit the address?      Mine shows that I can click on "edit" but it also shows that " You cannot edit your mailing address or physical address during this part of the adjudication process."  In addition it states that,  "To update your physical address, please submit a Form AR-11, Alien’s Change of Address Card,  and update the address below."  Whenever I've changed my physical address I have always done it online, only my USA spouse had to file a form.  Maybe there is something to this but I just don't think it means anything, just my suspicion.  My completion time just changed from September 2021 to April 2021.  I'm hoping there is something to this and the person that brought up this topic found a way to tell when a case might be nearing an end.  :-)

Thank you for sharing. As I thought it may be something wrong with my case at first...so you have any updates on biometrics?

Still waiting for biometrics communication.  I've written a few times to USCiS online and each time they've responded with the usual that I will be notified by the local USCIS when my case comes up.  Soon after the new year I'm going to try and connect with USCIS and see if I can get a little bit more information than the standard form email response.  Hand in there, acquisition of your American citizenship will eventually occur.

Also, when I created the last service request, last 3 digits of service requests number shows the abbreviation of my local office, and all previous requests showed MSC. For example before it was something like SR1111111MSC, and last time it is SR11111111TUC ( Tucson).
