Lol it’s like a nightmare that will not end. I’m still waiting on removal of conditions 15 months and counting

16,5 months and counting for me...regret too that filed for citizenship as I think this is why we did not get any biometrics or interview yet...from my state (AZ) everyone who applied same month with me already was approved or at least have an interview date and it is in December for the most of them. And no one had this stupid pending 751..

So sorry to hear that - I have some family who have a pending 751 and they are agonizing about this wait time as well. I'm not in the same boat, and often times I think I'm being ungrateful since the delay doesn't affect me much...

Applied in  Miami, Florida for citizenship on July 3, 2020 but have as of yet not heard about biometrics appointment.  The online site has all my documents and the response that I have applied and that my case is at the local USCIS office.  Anyone else applied in Miami, Fl?  Have you heard anything?

I just logged into my account and noticed that it looks a bit different. Most importantly, the message that in line with "we arrange for fingerprinting appointment and let you know" is no longer there and instead this is there:

Case Was Received And A Receipt Notice Was Emailed

On July 17, 2020, we received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number IOExxx, and mailed you a receipt notice or acceptance notice. It is being processed at our E-Filed Case Processing Section location. The notice describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Anyone else in the same situation? Could that message mean (or confirm) that they're actually using the old fingerprints?

I have the same notice.  However, although I am not absolutely sure,  I do not think it is related to using the old fingerprints.  In my case that would mean using the fingerprints taken in Italy when I received my immigration visa.  But then again maybe USCIS is becoming more efficient and the local field offices are using old fingerprints on file.  Hope you are correct in your interpretation.

Interesting! I think some people discussed this in the past, but I do not recall what the interpretation was, therefore I am hoping someone knows.
In my case, my fingerprints are 5 years old when I got my greencard. However, I submitted my fingerprints to FBI last years for the record request. Also, my name is quite unique, so my identity is known by my name.

Same view here. My understanding is that if they reuse the biometrics, a new document will show up in your Documents tab. I filed my case by paper, so I'm unsure if I'll get the document in the mail first, and then online or what - assuming that they do reuse the document to begin with !

Not same; however my status used to say 'We transferred your case to another field office...' since I changed my address, and recently it updated to the same status as yours 😕

Have a USCIS letter arriving today (thank you USPS Informed Delivery), so I logged on to myUSCIS. Nothing obvious had changed, but on checking the 'Documents' tab for my naturalization application, I saw a new letter dated 12/14/2020.

'Biometric Reuse'

Body of the letter is as follows:

U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received your form and is currently processing your application, petition, or request. This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometric data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.

USCIS is continuing to process your application, petition, or request. USCIS will contact you in writing if any additional information is necessary to resolve your case.

So, I am appreciative that they can (a) reuse my relatively recent biometrics (last year), (b) I won't have to go back to the service center until my interview, and (c) made it super clear that they are actually reusing - I know there was some confusion on some of the threads here on whether this was happening. Still not on track to have an interview until late summer 2021, but this at least helps.

Happy holidays everyone!
