So, today I received an email from NVC notifying me of my case "becoming documentarily qualified." Does that mean my case is officially documentarily qualified or there will be more consideration (on the DS-206 maybe) before a final decision is made? And any of you has been having difficulty opening the messages on CEAC. I couldn't open mine at all after multiple attempts. Thank you!

Yup that’s DQ, congrats! You should still check messages to ensure no case review note was left. Try different browsers, click on the unread message and wait a long time. Works best during off-hours. If nothing helps, you can call NVC and they’ll read the messages to you.

please fill out your VJ timeline!

Congrats on the DQ! The messaging feature has NEVER worked for me, so I just call. If you call after 10PM est you’ll get someone on the line minutes after going through the phone menu

Quick update-- I used my 1040 and W2 as well as 6 months of paystubs and wrote in the "additional information section" of the I-864EZ that the IRS were not processing my paper return due to COVID and we got DQ today! Only 24 hours after uploading documents- I honestly can't believe it because our petition at USCIS took 13 months, and it took another 3 to get the case sent to NVC

Now we just need the embassies to open!

you deserve the quick DQ after waiting so long.

OK, I don't know if I'm losing my mind or missing something. I'm starting to upload my documents for AOS and I uploaded the first tax return and hit upload. It's showing it, but now it's only showing me the option to 'edit/add comment' and I don't see where I can add the rest of my files. Am I missing something?

You are only supposed to upload one tax return under tax return. Each document has it’s own line - I-864 goes under I-864, tax transcript under tax transcript, all additional documents you’ll manually add under “add document” under additional line.

Oh, thanks. I'm now seeing that and that makes sense haha For the one tax return/transcript that is there, does it matter which one it is? Or should we put the latest one? Thanks for your quick response Quarknase~

According to NVC instructions the most recent tax transcript. That currently can be 2019, or 2018 since tax day was postponed to July 15.

If you submit after July 15 and don’t have 2019 taxes filed, you’ll need to show that you have an approved extension from IRS.
