According to the time frames provided on NVC website they are working on cases recieved From USCIS on 8th June and our case was sent to DOS on 5th June but still haven’t recieced welcome letter. Should we submit an inquiry?

I would give it another week or two. When USCIS sends it it’s not the received date by NVC. If you don’t have an IOE case number it’s an actual physical mailing process which has taken a month or so for others.

sent does not mean received.

our case was sent to the NVC on January 6th and received by the NVC January 31st.

I am not 100% sure, but they might have gone back to physical mail for cases that were not filed online. That would certainly explain the difference in time of received. They probably manually made some IOE cases “online filing” cases to test the system and now go back to normal? Who knows. USCIS processes are a big mystery :)

Your timeline says the I-130 was filed on October 1st 2019, but online filing became available on October 30 or 31st. Not sure how that worked, but if you’re right then you’ll probably receive WL this week or so.

Exactly. What really sucks is they refuse to look at what happened until the 6 weeks has passed or whatever. They could've sent email to wrong address for all that matter, but they won't budge.

Anybody else been waiting on the NVC for over 4 weeks? I got approved May 8th and still haven't heard anything from the NVC. I Call them everyday and they say my case isn't there yet. It's a bit surprising as everybody seems to get it within a week now.

Same happened to me. My case got approved on may 4th and it wasnt sent to nvc yet.

Correct - I was replying to a fellow F2A case in this group. Spouses of USC are not affected and are currently receiving preference at NVC since there’s no point to process by submission date only if many are suspended.

It’s a pretty big punch in the gut for some of us. Imagine you’re in the US as LPR supporting the economy and growth due to a specific skill set, and then the government tells you “thank you for your service and your taxes, but you don’t matter so your spouse can’t move to you”.

My apologies, I misinterpreted what was being said. This whole process is even more frightening during corona. I'm assuming by your reply that the situation you described is you? I'm so sorry if that's the case. That's heartbreaking to hear. I spend every damn day hoping this will all go away.

Correct , I know the only thing affecting my wife and I at this point is the limited services by the embassy at this point. However, I was demonstrating empathy for those affected by the EO.

Apologies if I came across insensitive, I was mostly posting to give hope to any USC spouses that things are going forward still. I can't imagine how horrible the not-knowing must be for LPRs and their spouses and those in other categories. This whole situation is so depressing sometimes. :(

Would the petitioner be able to visit you instead? I don't want to discourage you in any way, but waiting it out for some more months can safe you from a real big headache called removal of conditions. The wait time for this has been 18 months and more. The automated extension does not cover the actual wait time. Folks have to go make infopass appointments repeatedly to get a I-551 stamp on their passport to be able to travel. Plus we've seen many RFE's for proof of relationship which will need to be gathered again.

It's just me, but if we were close to the anniversary once we have the interview, we'd wait it out (with me visiting the hubby in his country).

Woow, that bad news. Never heard something like that 🤦‍♀️ Maybe you are right and better to wait couple month more and get 10 years green card. We will see, maybe everything will happen like that 🤷‍♀️ Anyway we still don’t know when embassies start to reopen. Thank you for advice! 🙏🏼
