That is correct too, but if the citizen of country A lives in country B then it’s held in the country of residence. I guess what I’m trying to say is, it’s not an issue to move back. He just provides proof that he moved back.

However, it wasn’t mentioned what stage they are in and if the case is already with the Embassy in his current country, then it can cause a slight delay while NVC re-assigns him to the other embassy

Thanks for explaining. Case is still pending at nvc  on an RFE. So hopefully wont cause undue delays. She will submit an email to NVC with his proof of citizenship and his flight ticket proof with an explanation on why  hes moving back. That should suffice you think?

I have seen some people posting that NVC asked for proof of residence but since he’s a citizen of the country he’s moving back to I would imagine that this should suffice.

The residence part probably comes more into play when it’s a third country.

Last time I checked that’s how it was being done. I doubt it’s changed haha. Do you know how things are things in Rio? Closed, open, mais ou menos?
I’m in Texas so I don’t really know how things are running. My wife says that everything is basically normal in SC

Consulate here still closed. Hard to tell when things will open up again. Sometimes I think very soon and other times I think not even close... COVID numbers are spiking - despite the government not sharing official data any longer (!). But local government also seems inclined to open things as of June 15... so it's unclear. My GUESS is that the consulate will be a bit less aggressive and wait to see how things pan out. There's no telling really.

Hi,  maybe someone here can help me.

we have sent our 2nd packet off mid may and we got DQ’d a week ago.

Now I logged in to our account on ceac and all of our documents submitted got accepted but my Exchange visitor documentation J1 is still on submitted.
i now have uploaded my visa page in my passport, where it clearly says that I am not bearer to the two year residency requirement since that only applies to medicals etc.

so now I did some research and the case is still at nvc and my civil documents are still on submitted plus the payment didn’t switch from paid to N/A.

will they most likely send me a rfe or will they just take longer to look over my ds2019 forms ?
im just a Little confused why that we got DQ’d already even tho they didn’t accept everything yet

After you get DQ email you should not upload any additional documents since NVC has finished your case. It will remain at NVC until the embassy opens and an interview appointment can be scheduled. Once NVC gives you your appointment, they ship your case to the embassy.

Oh dang! Is that an issue that I have uploaded an additional document?

do you happen to know why my j1 is not accepted yet?

Maybe it was just not needed? Did you check your messages in CEAC?

Sorry I don't know how uploading additional documents after DQ impacts processing. Maybe somebody else can chime in :)

It wasn’t required, i got DQ’d, which is the only message I got. Maybe I was or am worried that they won’t accept my ds 2019 forms and that’s why I uploaded my visa page from 2017 to support my ds2019 forms because of the reason that they are still submitted instead of accepted, lol.

sorry for messing this up right now.
can I take it down again? Or should I just leave it as it is

I had a question about uploading documents after a DQ. Do you know if it's ok to upload an updated form of my I864 for the CO to have on CEAC and also take hard copy to interview?

I would not upload anything after DQ since it means you’ve completed NVC stage. It’s like sending USCIS additional documents after a petition has been approved. Just take the updated form to the interview and you should be good.
