Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC

Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third. :bonk:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!
If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view Saylin's flowchart here.
Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.
If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process :) That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.
Current case file creation time:
This is the link to go to see what date they are working on. Follow  it says up to 6 weeks but recently that 6 weeks is about 4 weeks from approval at USCIS.
Once your case has been created, we will contact you with instructions on how to begin processing. Until your case is entered into our system, we unfortunately won’t have any information about your case.
Current case review time:
This is the link to see what date they are reviewing. Please allow up to three-weeks for NVC to review your forms and documents once we receive both the petitioner’s financial documents and the applicant’s civil documents. You must also have paid all required fees and submitted your visa application online. We will not review your file until we have received all of the above items
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
And once you've got a case complete, please join the case complete/interview thread started by me, Dwheels76 on (currently July 2020 thread),
Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet
From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.
Please Please put your VJ member name only. Not nicknames or real names whatever your VJ name is. It's below your profile picture!!
User 9000miles posted this quality information in a different thread.  I am reposting here as this is quality information, and a much more popular thread.  9000miles provided all the links and great information, kudos to that poster.
"Kuwait will try to resume June 22: https://kw.usembassy.gov/ambassador-alina-l-romanowski-on-the-embassys-post-lockdown-work-resumption-plan/
Cambodia starting visa waiver/drop off processing June 3: https://kh.usembassy.gov/notice-on-visa-services/
Sweden's update seems to imply visa interviews could occur shortly:
https://se.usembassy.gov/message-for-u-s-citizens-embassy-stockholm-covid-19-update-15-embassy-closed-may-25th-face-coverings-required-for-embassy-visitors/
An Indian embassy mentioned they're accepting non-immigrant interview appointment rescheduling starting in October: https://twitter.com/USAndMumbai/status/1266426133513244675
The global suspension of visa processing doesn't appear to have lifted so it's unclear if that has an unpublished expiration date, embassies can start operations at their leisure, or the that the state department may ask the above examples to pause longer.
I would strongly advice watching embassy news sites, embassy twitter feeds (including their replies to other) as these are the official US government updates on these matters, and that appointments opening without the embassies acknowledging it may be a limitation of their systems on how long the interviews can be paused for."
@AarLar, the DV interviews for dutchies are always scheduled for october. My friend has been trying the lottery for years. The page says that it wont be delayed and still scheduled for them, I think I am almost certain this has nothing to do with reopening in october for the other interviews.
Hello guys, I know I might sound dumb saying this but am freaking out.. this is my 86th day waiting for a DQ and still haven't received a single response, is this normal?
My submission date was 7th of march 2020, Do I call the NVC? is there something wrong with my case? everything says that it's submitted and all is going well (when I hover my mouse on them).
Thanks for your attention.
I think they only review cases of citizen spouses at this point but they are on hold for lpr.
I am also waiting. Can't believe I'm still waiting till now.
Am I right? I just think that they didn't move from Feb 14th Bec of the lpr cases
My brother is also applying for an F3 (he submitted on 20th of February) and he got a DQ on 15th of May, their timeframe is close to him but it did not reach him, so I am not sure what is going on.. and now am seeing lots of people getting dqed all across the  months  (with submission dates the NVC haven't reached yet) (Late March.. April.. May)
Does anyone have any insight about what's happening?
Yes it’s been discussed plenty in the May group, you read it up there. It has been like this for about a month.
As long as your date is after or close before the official date they announce, you’re within processing time.
They might get preference, but I actually saw lots of F2A and other LPR family preference DQs as well.
That's disgustingly frustrating to be honest fffs.. so all I have to do is wait for god knows how long at this point? I mean it's wayyyyy past the time they have specified (not according to their official timeframe) but to their estimations (8 - 10 weeks).
Thanks for replying
I understand your frustration, but wayyy past the time is not a couple of weeks late in US immigration. It's never been fast, and a timeline has never been guaranteed. Just take your mind off of this process and focus on life itself. New processing times will be published today, maybe it moved a bit. Keep in mind that all agencies work with reduces staff and under different conditions at the moment.
@dwheels76, do you really think the embassies won’t open until the travel ban is lifted? Because once you get your greencard, you can go to the states as the travel ban doesn’t apply, right?
