Well two things must happen now. The embassies must up up to regular visa processing. Then once they do they reschedule the cancel appoints from March to the present. Then NVC will start scheduling interviews once they get the go ahead from the embassy.

How long who knows. I know your embassy right now just doing expedites.

Still waiting for interview date dont know how long it should take if we are to expedite our request what reasons should we write.

You should write whatever reasons are the truth and are relevant to why you might need your case processed faster. Everyone here is waiting for their interview dates, many since right before the embassies shut down in March.

Question:  My stepdaughters case has been DQ'd and is still at NVC waiting for interview date.  We will be in JA, hopefully if virus doesn't mess things up again, in August and would love to bring her back so I can get her enrolled in school for September. I am planning to send in an expedite request but don't know if I send it to NVC or the embassy. Anyone know?  It's probably a long shot they will grant it,  but you never know til you ask. Thanks to all who respond 🌺

Send it directly to NVCNVCExpedite@state.gov and they will sent it to the Embassy in JA.

It took  3 day for them to respond my request to expedite. Good luck!

This is a great detailed medical. Felt like I was there with you. 2 more days and you are done. That's great. Keep us posted ho things go Curious to see how during Pandemic interviews go.

Thanks :) definitely will keep things posted here. Can't wait to get the interview over with, whole immigration during pandemic is definitely stressful knowing that you also need to figure out the way to travel with 2 dogs and a cat when options are so limited, but I decided to take one step at a time and just receive a visa first 😂

No, they denied it but I really didn't have any reason beyond emotional hardship and they  basally said it wasn't fair to everyone else waiting.

I think your reason is a great reason to go for it, plus there's nothing to lose.

Aww sorry to hear that!  Yeah I told my daughter that it never hurts to try.  All they can do is say no.  You never know unless you ask.  Hopefully, the journey for us all won't be too much longer!!
