Many embassies aren't opening up because of flight restrictions. Makes no sense issuing visas and people can't fly out. A club has nothing to do with if a Embassy should open.

It will say AT NVC until you are scheduled. Once you are scheduled usually within a few days it will change to IN TRANSIT, then READY once the Embassy gets it.
If you want to transfer you need to contact NVC and have that changed since they still have it. That way they will put you in the right queue for scheduling when that time comes

Only email you get after DQ is your interview letter. No email when it reaches embassy. Would be no reason for an email they are preparing for your interview as they expect you to prepare also.

For expedited during this time, the embassy has been sending a letter that the case was received and it will be scheduled when services resume. Also, some embassies have called Expedites saying the same.

Oh we've been DQ since March 10th...can't wait to have interview finally, so devaststed. But I'm happy for everyone who gets scheduled for interview, I hope you all get your visas and finally be with your loved ones! Those who are still waiting like me...may the force be with us💪

Question:  My stepdaughters case has been DQ'd and is still at NVC waiting for interview date.  We will be in JA, hopefully if virus doesn't mess things up again, in August and would love to bring her back so I can get her enrolled in school for September. I am planning to send in an expedite request but don't know if I send it to NVC or the embassy. Anyone know?  It's probably a long shot they will grant it,  but you never know til you ask. Thanks to all who respond 🌺

I believe you still sent it to NVC and they forward it to the correct embassy. Enrolling in school is a legitimate reason to expedite so i’d say go for it!

Since March 18th no. The country is closed the airport is closed and so is the embassy. Until the airport opens which they said they hope to by end of July the embassy will not be opening.

The Visa facility closed down also about Mid March so nothing has been issued. They will open back up when the embassy does.

How did it go?

We got an email June 10th for an interview on June 23rd.

 

Unfortunately my husband was refused due to a marijuana charge from when he was 18. We were instructed to file an I-601 waiver, which we are in the process of putting together now. Obviously a big disappointment; we were planning on booking his tickets to come here that night.

 

So, for now I'm trying to obtain a short term visa to Australia so I can at least be with him while the waiver processes. I dont want to put off starting our life together any longer.

I have been following and reading comments here in Visa Journey which somehow has been a great tool and encouragement for me. 

We filed on August 2019, got our NOA2 - May 12 2020 and NVC on the next day. Documentarily qualified on June 4 and received interview appointment from NVC today, June 23. We checked our NVC case status too and it did say At NVC still.  Oh well, it doesn’t matter! 
 I don’t know if it helped but I did send  an email to NVC.state.gov/inquiry and US Consulate Singapore last Friday. In my email I was politely inquiring matters pertaining to these USA Government offices if they have worked on my case. 

I feel very lucky to have found Visa Journey. Cheers!
