Hello everyone, I had my expectations pretty low on having interview any time sooner then September looking at the situation in Ukraine. Until today when I got a call from the Embassy in Kyiv to schedule my interview. The closest day was THIS Thursday. I was shocked!!! Decided not to rush with it and scheduled it next week, but they were not available so new date is June 30.

Funny part is that when I tried to schedule a medical exam clinic was not even aware that the embassy is already working.

I guess interviews are closer than we think.

Congrats!!! Great news!

When were you DQed?

Hoping for Turkey to open soon... :)

Hi! Congratulations, finally some good news!

I am just curious, has Ukraine always requested that you schedule your own appointments?  Here in Canada they send you a letter with your scheduled date and time.

I was confused myself. Previous time I just got an email with appointment date and time, but they notified me that it's cancelled by phone and told me they will contact me once appointments will be ready to schedule. Today I've received a call with recipient named USAID and lady told me that they are scheduling appointments again.

Unfortunately, yes, it is stuck at NVC because of the Embassy closure. You were probably among the first cases to be kept because of it.

In the same way, you should be among the first cases to be taken care of when your Embassy reopens. Jordania is dealing fine with the Covid, hopefully they re-open their Embassy quickly.

Hi I think that is the case - if I want to expedite I have no idea who to contact and what reasons to use...we do not have pregnancy or documented health reasons - just that it has taken so long already. My PD was Oct 22, 2018...

Well, the past week has been a whirlwind, but I wanted to update you guys in case anyone finds the info helpful.

After requesting an expedite from NVC (for the second time!), it was approved rather than saying the embassy wasn't dealing with visas right now, etc etc. A day after approval (or two, maybe, my brain's a-fuzz right now), London called me and got me in this morning for my interview. I have a 221G as my medical isn't until tomorrow morning, woops, but other than that, I'm good to go!

From what I gathered from the people I spoke to, London are now allowed to do interviews on Tuesday mornings ONLY, so some interviews are still happening.

I'm off to collapse and dread my medical, the worst part for me, but almost done!

I also do not have a courier to get my passport back to me because the website won't let me register and no one at the embassy could help me, I have no idea how I'm sorting that one out lol!

Wow that's great! Congratulations :)  Great to hear something positive in these tough times. If i may ask what questions did the officer ask? Hope you have the visa stamped soon and get to be with your spouse.

Yeah, of course you can ask. I didn't get very many questions honestly!

1) How did you meet?

2) Where was that?

3) Does he still live there?

4) What does he do for work?

And that was it. Was a bit underwhelming lol!
