Hello, so I would like some advice on my case if anyone has some insight on this. Currently my I129-F is filed and approved. I have received the receipt. After 30 days I did not receive the NVC approval letter so I had to send an email and finally received the official NVC approval letter after a month of delay in email which should have been done in the first place. But even though I listed the that I wanted the interview to be in Ho Chi Minh, currently the paperwork and interview is in in Tokyo. After several phone calls, I found out that I was supposed to make an online inquiry for the US Consulate located in HCM. HCM office has contacted Tokyo for the petition to be transferred on April 14, but it is now May 31. My deadline on the case is in 20 more days, on June 20. I have contacted HCM to have my petition extended but all they told me was that the Tokyo office was contacted on April 14 and that I need to wait. I contacted the Tokyo office and they told me I would be able to extend the petition at the time of the interview, but my fiancee is not able to go back to Tokyo as her visa expired. She is a Vietnamese citizen and had a student visa to study in Japan which has already expired. And as part of the preparation for the interview, she has to get police report from Vietnam AND Japan. We have already received the report from Vietnam, but at the time I received the NVC approval letter, my fiancee was stuck in another city and under the country wide quarantine of COVID-19. She was finally able to get back to HCM and request for the police report from Japan on April 20. But they told her it takes 2 months for this report, so about June 20, which is when our case has reached the deadline.

So Vietnam has told me to wait for the paperwork to be transferred which is cutting it too close to the deadline and Japan has told me that the petition can be extended at the interview which is impossible. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?
