Now I'm confused so my case is going from "in-transit" to "ready" status? this is why nothing is showing up for us? because to my knowledge the embassy is still closed

Based on reports from other members,  I think it's a problem with ceac

YMMV

I guess I'll call tommorow and see what's going on

Calling will not provide you with the info you need for the visa process in Manila.

Email NVC to request your MNL# , you will need the NVC letter/email for the medical at St. Lukes's    https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html

It makes logical sense. If it is incorrect, then what is correct?

Once your in the ceac system it doesn't "drop" you out if the system when you go in limbo transit  it reports your last known status until your file is scanned again

YMMV

You and apparently several thousand others.  You are not the only one so it's why it appears to be a system "hiccup" not a petition problem

YMMV
