When I typed in our MNL case number to check it, it says "search did not return any data" did something expire? Because my NOA 2 is valid

Did you search on immigrant or nonimmigrant?  You need to search on immigrant tracking

YMMV

You did immigrant, so I would lean toward a typo for the number.

this confuses even me

if you look at the USCIS issued visa site by class and embassy,  K1 is under nonimmigrant

The K-1 is a non-immigrant visa that is processed as a immigrant visa.  It is confusing, but that is how it is.

Finally done.

You can check for some typos yourself: The first three letters identify the embassy, and the next 4 are the year of approval. The remaining 6 have the day of year when processed and the sequence number for that day.

It's a nonimmigrant visa that is interviewed by the immigrant visa unit.   Pretty simple

YMMV

I'm encountering the same error message too. I've been monitoring my case number every few days at the CEAC website and it has always been shown as "In Transit" under Immigrant Visa, and just today it's saying "Your search did not return any data."

yours in transit is easier to answer

when it leaves USCIS (1st stage) it is no longer seen in their system and NVC takes 4 or more weeks to show in their system (so it is in limbo)

when it leaves NVC (2nd stage )  is can no longer be seen in their system and is in limbo till the embassy gets it and posts on CEAC that it is ready (so limbo again)

when the embassy gets it ,  it can go from ready to schedule or just ready to AP and ready (back and forth)

for some reason the data entrys  are not as good at this as they should be

Now I'm confused so my case is going from "in-transit" to "ready" status? this is why nothing is showing up for us? because to my knowledge the embassy is still closed
