Hi y’all!
my fiancé and I met jan 2019. We met once in 2020 for a week I plan on going again in September. He lives in South Africa and the reason for lack of visits is due to both of us being in college.

1. I have children he does not but he accepts mine and talks to them. Their real dad is not involved.

2. I have met his family and he talks to mine via FaceTime Facebook

3. we are both the same class and religion

4. Neither of us are married or been married

we are both highly anxious

check out the poverty guidelines for K1 100% and spouse CR1 125% needed for sponsor a person(3 people you and him and our child)

and IRS tax transcripts will be needed for most recent years

if you don't have the required income, line up a joint sponsor who is aware of what that means

Yes we were well aware of this as my mother claims us as dependents. I believe it helps that she knows both of us as our own people and us as a couple. :)

I see you’re planning on seeing him I. September. Do you think international travel would go back to normal by then.  Cause currently SA is only allowing people in for school and business. And we’re moving very slow with lifting of the lockdown.

Correct,

I plan on September but, of course the lockdown in both USA and SA plays a huge factor in if it will happen.I know some changes are being made June 1st regarding businesses there correct? However, I am being hopeful 😜 if the visit doesn’t happen then for sure a week or so before the interview I’ll be there.

I hope they lift this travel ban soon! It’s so stressful! My fiancé and I were supposed to see eachother two weeks before they issued the travel ban. 😤

hopefully things will go back to normal soon! Good luck on your journey! :)

Beyond frustrating with these “bans” I left the day the ban was put into place. However, I’ll remain hopeful for all of us stuck in this position of being unable to be with our loved ones. Good luck on yours as well :)
