To make a long story short my company I used to work for capitalized on the pandemic and I lost my job because of It  they did they Had to pay 60 days of warn pay that ends next week So basically I am unemployed I got my severance and I have more than enough in my checking and savings account then the poverty level to support my fiancé for the next year or two Obviously I’m looking for a job and her interview is probably still a couple months away Cause of covid is this going to be a big problem for the Form   I-134, Affidavit of Support Or will they be more worried about what I have in my bank account now  and I’m getting unemployment but that’s not counted as income thx

They will be concerned with your income at the time of the interview. Hopefully, you'll have found something by then. If not, you'll need a co-sponsor. Of course, we are not aware of the plans and what and what will have changed so I wouldn't put much into this for now, just take care of yourself and continue to seek employment. Good luck and stay engaged.

Unemployment does count as income.
 

The I864 requirement is a minimum level of liquid assets equivalent to 3X the difference between current and required income for your household size.

 

With that said, I filed an I-134 in 2018 with a lot more than that and the officer was still pushing me to get a joint sponsor.  He accepted it, but I had a little difficulty with it.

 

You might need to reach out for a joint sponsor.

Manila (based on your profile flag) does not tend to accept assets for consideration with a K-1 visa.

They don't even always ask for an I-134...but always be prepared with one.

Current income is king. If unemployed, current income that they will actually consider would presumably be $0. Having an I-134 from a co-sponsor ready would be wise IMO (Manila does accept a co sponsor on a case by case basis).
