I have also directly asked MTL what phase they are in according to the DOS reopening plan. I have no heard back yet but if I do I will report my answer.

I hope you hear back on this because I've been wondering the same thing. Thanks for letting us know if you hear back.

Good morning,

Please note that the processing for routine immigrant and non-immigrant visa applications is still suspended. Due to the significant worldwide challenges related to COVID-19, we are unable to predict when we will resume routine visa services. We will review your case as soon as we resume our operations.

For further information about suspension of routine visa services, applicants should visit the Department of State website at: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/suspension-of-routine-visa-services.html

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Regards,

Normally my daughter visits in the summer but since shes a minor and can't really quarantine when she goes back I haven't booked her any tickets. I don't want to risk losing the air fare if she's told it's non-essential travel and is denied entry.  I wish I had booked her down here the instant my work closed down before the border closures.  I hadn't worked for 3 months!  Now I am at a new job, and have to work all summer. Ugh!!!
