I've been watching for montreal as well, emailed last week when I say the June 4th announcement and same answer. I'm currently stalking their website multiple times a day. 😂

Same here! My NOA2 expires on June 20th. Hoping they just push that out automatically. I haven't even received Packet 3.

IDK if this would help at all, but Canadian MPs are compiling a list of couples effected by the US/Canadian border closure to submit and advocate for exceptions for us to travel/visit. I emailed my MP today and received a response and a request to pass along my information. It's not what we want, but I'm just thankful for any government attention recognizing this hardship.

Well that's better than nothing!

My bigger concern for now is the NOA2 expiring. We haven't done the DS-160 cause i don't wanna pay for something now and then get screwed whenever things resume.

Also can't do the Affadavit of support yet anyways because he quit one job to start a new one but that start date continues to get pushed out. So no income for now on his end.

That sounds so awful. I'm so sorry it's been so hard. This situation is putting so many people in a terrible situation. Hopefully he could find a co-signer or something! Or he can start his new job soon.

No co-signer unfortunately, so it's really up to us. Him moving here instead is our last resort if it doesn't work out. But Florida weather is so much better than Montreal weather! Lol

Hang tight! You're almost there. Yes, it is. I've been there once and it's really nice. Best of luck!

Your petition can and will be extended by the consulate. If the expiration date on your NOA2 mattered that much, we'd be screwed as of a couple weeks ago. That date has lapsed for plenty of people in plenty of countries even before the pandemic.

Really? My guy - bill Blair, whom I voted for TWICE now hasn't responded to my numerous emails on the subject. I have however signed many petitions. If I were a betting man, I'd say that spouses will.be able to visit in June. I was kind of hoping my apt 3rd interview would be rescheduled by mid June, but I'm thinking that was a pipe dream.

I read it can be extended for up to a year but in increments of 4 months. I'm hoping ours is pushed out for the whole year since there will for sure be a backlog anyways (noth for medicals and for interviews).

That's ridiculous. He didnt respond to me either. But my mp did. This might provide some encouragement.

I've heard the 1 year limit before but I'm not sure where it comes from. Does anyone have an official source on it? I'll have to assume the State Department and consulates are aware of the issue if that's accurate. Our issuance date is January 14, so I guess they'll have to figure something out before then.
