hello, i recently applied for my dads visa and just got teh approval, i just wanted to know that with the situation going on how long would it take? will there be delays? also i have a sister who is 20 years old and is a full time student, is there an exception process where she can be given visa with my father because of being a full time student even though she is older than 18.

No such thing as a full time student exception

Yes there will be delays because firstly embassies are closed still and secondly parent visas fall under the current ban. Hopefully that won’t be extended.

 

There are no derivatives allowed on an IR visa. When your father gets a green card he can petition for your sister.

Hopefully he enters the US and files for her before she turns 21...otherwise it's going to be a much, much longer wait (~5-7 years, or longer with some countries).

Well - it may not be as simple as just filing before she’s 21, if F2A does not remain current.
