Will they allow Americans to fly to Russia after May 30th? I've been looking all over for information on this and can't find anything

Currently borders are closed for entry, so no word on when they will reopen.

Presumably at some point. At least Aeroflot is selling tickets for LAX-SVO starting Aug 1 and SVO-LAX starting Aug 3 on their web site as I type this (we don't have any plans to go to Russia again until next year).

I did some looking on aerflots site. They are selling new york to moscow tickets beginning in the .middle of july. Does that mean they are going to allow some foreign travel?

All up to the government. So far I did not hear any news on reopening borders.

Moscow Times reported in April that Aeroflot suspended international air travel until August.  There have been periodic flights since then, for repatriation purposes.

We've seen occasional JFK -> SVO flights (or the opposite) and believe they were solely for repatriation purposes.  If one gets to Moscow, one may not be able to move beyond the city until finishing a quarantine -- if then.  We have heard of a person who wanted to return to the USA and arrived from Siberia to Moscow but had to stay in that city for two months before traveling on to the USA.

Moscow at least begins to loosen their very rigorous "stay home" requirements.

Next flight from SVO-JFK is June 7th.

I called Aeroflot couple of days ago, and they said as long as you can book the flight (and you can on their website at this moment), then you should be good to go.

Good news. Maybe they want to resume flights but simply remain quiet about the news to avoid a sudden rush of people booking.

I was searching the internet about this yesterday because I really want to see my fiance again in Russia and I found this website waytorussia.net and it says this:

First Countries that Russia will Open the Borders With 27 July 2020 — 15/07/2020

15/07/2020 — At the moment it looks like the first countries that will open the border with Russia will be Turkey and Croatia. You can already travel to Russia through Turkey or Belarus if you have a good plausible reason to do so (read our report from 09/07/2020). There are also negotiations with Cuba, Mexico, Dominicana, Egypt and Arab Emirates. The first EU countries that will be opened for travel will probably be Italy and Germany, but that is subject to their approval and at the moment it doesn't look like they'll allow flights to/from Russia before August 2020. UK and USA citizens may be allowed to Russia starting from the 1st of August the earliest. We think it is more likely that it'll happen from September 1st.

I see flights from the US to moscow being offered in september with aeroflot making the ride across the Atlantic.  Does this mean they will allow Americans at that time?

They were offering these flights from August, 5. Now it’s changed so my guess it’s Aeroflot‘s estimation without any official grounds yet.

There are flights to NYC even now...

What are you guys all talking about?..

I think even correctly it it possible for the lawful spouse to fly, because the reason for REUNION with spouse is very serious.
