Hi All,

We are starting the NVC process and we have a few questions.

I think we qualify to use the I-864EZ.

  • Be the petitioner who filed the original Form I-130 on behalf of the intending immigrant; my husband.
  • Be the petitioner who filed the original Form I-130 on behalf of the intending immigrant; he filed the I-130 only for me.
  • Be able to show sufficient income to support the intending immigrant based solely on your salary and pension, which amount is shown on the W-2 Form(s) provided by your employer or former employer; he make around 55k in 2019 and he's only using his income - no joint sponsor.

Do we need to file the I-864 as well? Or is it enough with the I-864EZ?

Also, do you know what's the "additional aos supporting documentation" that we need to upload? I see we have to upload the I-864 or EZ and we also have to attach the IRS Transcripts but do we need to attach anything else?

Thanks in advance for your help!

EZ version alone is fine.  One Tax Return Transcript plus a recent pay stub, the same one you used to calculate your current income.  Current income does not come from an employed person's tax return.  Last year is not "current".

Thank you so much for your help! Do you know if I can sign and submit the DS-260 and then start working on the I-864EZ and the required documentation? Or do you recommend me to sign and submit once I uploaded the I-864EZ, Transcripts and Pay Stub?

Hey, one more question. Do you know if we can use the same translations we used for the I-130/USCIS stage from last year? or do we need to get our documents translated again (with a recent date)?

I was able to upload them under the Additional AOS Supporting Documentation but do you know what should I attach under this section:

The 2019 IRS is not available so we attached the ones from 2016-2018, should we attach the W2 forms for 2019?

Please disregard this question. We tried with a different computer and it worked.

Thanks anyways!

You would not need NEW translations but anything already in Spanish would not need translation at this stage.
