Any indication on how consulates will be rescheduling people who had their interviews cancelled?

For reference I am US citizen living in Mexico and my wife from a third country also living in Mexico. We are both Mexican residents and went through DCF here from Mexico City.

We were supposed to have our immigrant visa interview on March 30th in Ciudad Juarez but of course it was cancelled, about a week and a half before it was supposed to take place.

I've been trying without much success to find out how they will handle the people whose interviews were missed due to the virus.

The only logical solution to me would be for us to receive a priority date for the interview as we were so close to our interview date before it was cancelled.

The (not very helpful) help line you can call in Mexico will only tell me it depends on the case but it's likely we will need to reschedule our interview when dates become open on the calendar.

For Mexico you need to watch this calendar like a hawk and check it multiple times per day to get an appointment, and that's in normal times. It will be worse once they haven't taken interviews for 3+ months.

I tried also submitting my question to the consulate but received a notification that I would receive a response in 20-30 business days.

I have no idea how this will work. We are in Canada and our interview was canceled 5 days before it cause of the pandemic. I'd love to know. We already had our medicals completed. I am not sure if we will have to get those done again if they expire. Our criminal check has now expired too.

Every consulate will reopen differently based on the local situation

I do understand that part, every consulate will open at a different time depending on how the virus is affecting them.

My question was more in regards to what is likely for the rescheduling of appointments that were skipped - whether there will be priority to the people who got cancelled on, or if we are likely to have to rebook our own appointment depending on availability.

It will be up to how the individual consulate decides.   What happens in CDJ will likely be different than Montreal,  Moscow or London

YMMV
