The woman said it's 'cheaper, fresher and healthier' than the takeaway fare typically available at construction sites and in the centre of cities where electricians, carpenters and plumbers most commonly work.

The post initially received such a negative response that the group administrator was forced to remove comments slamming the woman for treating her husband like a child and waiting on him hand and foot.

Before his office got shut, I would make lunch for Alex only if he wanted it. Generally not, as they had a lot of team lunches, but also because he didn't want me to feel I was expected to make lunch for him. But I don't judge women who do, or don't for that matter. His ex did it every day, thoughtfully planned and balanced meals, each with a little note like one of the women did in this article. She loved to do it (allegedly) but I'm ambivalent. If requested, I will, but I don't assume it's going to be every day.

My wife does this daily, by choice and she. Takes infinite care to make sure it is fresh, tasty and healthy. I told her it was unnecessary and was promptly shut down, makes us both happy

I fix my husband's lunch every day. I'd rather him eat good than out of a vending machine or McDs. He loves it when there's enough leftovers from dinner too.

How about us women just care for our husband's as what works for us? If the husband isn't appreciative and does nothing to help out, perhaps consider other options.

Exactly. I enjoy making lunch for him, and he likes it too. I also enjoy knowing that it isn't required of me or that it's taken for granted. The women who are trying to make this an issue of patriarchal control are being ridiculous in my opinion.

My wife makes a very delicious plov (pilaf to some) which has become a staple lunch dish for me.  Other than her making the dish, the lunch packing is up to me.

The love and appreciation of certain groups of women simply rises to the top, like cream on milk.  I consider myself very fortunate to have experienced it, albeit rather later in life.
