This is what popped up on the USCIS site when I put in the case number.  How far along is the case?  There is no way to know, unless you look at processing times for your field office.  Is it possible that my wife received her EAD card?  Eventually.  How long has it been since you applied? 5-7 months has been the recent processing times for the combo card. Any chance the interview will be waived because of covid-19 when adjusting from a B2 visa?  I really doubt they would waive such an interview.  I believe recent reports of K-1 AOS interviews are due to the fact that the applicant was recently vetted (background checks, etc) for a nonimmigrant visa.  How far away can the interview be? Ours took 14 months. Again, totally depends on your local field office.  Please go to USCIS.gov and look at processing times.

Thanks for the reply.   If I live in Nevada, what office would be handling the case?  We filed the AOS package in January.  She moved out 5 weeks ago and took all of the paperwork.  I had to call USCIS just to get the case number.  We are attending marriage counseling but I am seriously thinking about pulling the I864 to protect myself.  I want to know how much time I have to work it out before I am screwed.

I am still thinking about it.  We have marriage counseling today so hopefully I won’t have to pull the affidavit of support.

Difficult to say, asap would be the safe option.

I have only seen one single case of a B2 AOSer supposedly getting approved without interview, this was in one of the Facebook groups for US immigration, the girl shared her timeline. If there is one, there are likely several more we just never heard of on here. Normally that wouldn't happen, but during covid-19 things have temporarily changed a bit.

The case status you posted doesn't really mean much time-wise. Some people get an interview within a few week, while many others are stuck with that status for months and even years before finally getting an interview appointment.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

Slightly different, but I've recently seen interview waived for AOS from student visa:

Like she said, already had combo card/biometrics.  I have yet to see a waiver for an AOS from a B visa.

A week ago; title of thread is "Marriage based interview waived" https://www.imminelp.com/experiences/post/marriage-based-interview-waived-491171/

LoveGod1 asked, "What visa did you adjust status from?" OP of that thread responded, "B1/b2 tourist visa"

LOL I meant here on VJ, but okay.
