Today is an official federal holiday, Juneteenth, all USCIS offices are closed and all ceremonies, interviews, biometrics scheduled for today will be automatically rescheduled for another date.  Thousands of people are affected by this new holiday.  I hope all those who had appointments for today get rescheduled quickly. I am a proponent of the holiday, however I think this could've been handled differently and more sensitively.  I'm sure many people haven't heard about the closing will be showing up to their appointments to their surprise find the doors closed.

I totally agree with you Sartre and now we have even more of a backlog for everyone.

Would you believe it? My flight was today at 4pm. I was about to head out for a month.

I was out all weekend and got home at 10 pm yesterday. Went to mailbox...interview notice 4 days before I come back🤦🏽‍♂️

The choice here is simple. I'll have to reschedule flight and chill for another 3 weeks. As of 6pm yesterday, I had even checked in. Thank goodness I visited the mailbox or else it would have been disastrous.

Case completion jumped to 13 month now 😅. Just FYI for those who follow that thread.

There is a spreadsheet

Fill time-line, people

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Had my Oath yesterday at Long Island office. I had traveled internationally and came back the night before the oath. No issue about 10 day quarantine as I was fully vaccinated. They did ask for proof of vaccination.

I was about to reschedule when I first received the oath notice as I wasn't sure about the 10 day quarantine issue. I am glad that I didn't reschedule it.

Good luck everyone!

I canceled and rescheduled my my international trip this past Monday. USCIS asked me to come in 4 days before my scheduled return. I could have scheduled my trip to come back 2 days before the N400 interview but I did not want to risk it as my letter did not give me any leeway. I read it like 10 times to see if I can get away with coming back 2 days early but there were no directives. So I canceled and rescheduled trip.

Do not forget to update our little timesheet, kindly.

Got it. Not sure if it has to d just with Oath. They had changed the visitor policy and I confirmed that with a Tier 2 officer before I rescheduled my trip to come back the night before.

Congrats on getting closer to the finish line!

hahhahaha I did not want to risk an IO getting mad when I sit across from them and they realize I just came from international travel 2 days prior. Interview is the most important. I was not gonna risk being turned away, having waited 1 year just to get here. My letter stated you could still attend interview even if you have been in close contact with COVID person, provided you are fully vaccinated. The same was not extended to those coming from international travel. So I just took the easy way out and canceled and rescheduled my flight, surprisingly, all for free. I think airlines are being lenient due to COVID.

Hi Everyone!

Just received my N400 interview notice scheduled for July 29th. Application based of the 3 years marriage. I initially intended to go there with my husband but the letter advised that due to covid restriction only lawyer are allowed. For those who had the interview already did you go alone? Thanks :)

Yes I went alone. Mine was based on 3 years marriage but no ROC required.

I had an early morning interview so the day before I did a test run to Gears Road. I’m glad I did as I subsequently decided to leave 30 minutes earlier on interview day.

Awesome! Thanks a lot! Same here no ROC. Have you had your oath ceremony already! Was it long?
