Told someone to do this. I was heckled. I knew I was not wrong.

In all fairness, it likely depends on where your local infopass enter is. Even in rural south carolina, he was informed had it been busier they wouldnt have been able to take him. Imagine in a city of any size larger than that.

Yes that is correct. You have to make sure you go at a time when it will not be busy, they open at 6AM and I was there first thing in the morning and they took me in but they did explain that had they been busy they would've said no and I had to come back another day and try.

I did the same thing twice here in Los Angeles, both for my i-485 and my i-751 and it was never an issue. Always did it after 1pm as they're less busy then. Didn't do it for my N-400 because of the pandemic, they were very strict then.

Exactly. Every time I go to my local office, they are always chilling and this is Houston. Been there 3 times during this immigration journey. It was only 1 time that i was there and had to atleast wait for 20 mins (old location).

I know my local office so good that the last time I went there, I pointed to one of the officials that it looked different from the one I visited last. Anyway, the lady told me that it was just their first month at the new location. They had just moved 3 mins drive up the street.

And I do not disagree.

I was pointing out that someone can try. That is what I had advised and was heckled and told that is impossible during this COVID era. Nonetheless. I am sure if you have a few hours to burn and get to support center during off-peak, it would not be an issue. I was still hanged, though I even explained my reasoning like I just did here.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I had my interview yesterday in Las Vegas. It was super easy and quick. If the officer didn't have a problem with his computer I probably would've been in and out in ten minutes. Unfortunately Las Vegas doesn't do same day Oath Ceremonies and I was told it will take 30 - 60 day to be scheduled :( My status on myuscis updated to "Case Was Submitted For Quality Review Based On An Approval Recommendation". I hope it's a standard process and I will have my Ceremony date sooner than later.

Hey folks. I finally have my interview this week and I am confused with the prep.
I applied for naturalization (N-400) in PA in July 2020 and moved to GA shortly after. I filed the AR-11 to notify USCIS of my address change in Aug 2020 but got invited to N400 interview in PA in June 2021. I am going to the interview in PA with evidence of AR-11 and ideally want to do oath ceremony right there.

1. Should I provide the answers to the questions for state governor / representative for GA (new state) or PA (old state, where interview is taking place)?
2. How likely can I do the oath ceremony right after the interview in PA (Philly office), if I am no longer a resident there?

All in 2015

Mid May - Got married to my darling husband who is a USC, while on F1-OPT
End of May - Went on Leave of Absence as OPT was expiring
June 1st - Filed for GC and EAD
Mid July - Requested for EAD expedite with tier-1 rep
July 29th - Sent evidence in response to RFE for expedite EAD request
July 30th - Called USCIS to follow but tier-1 rep refused to transfer to tier-2
July 31st - Called USCIS again and got to tier-2 rep, who hastily said they have to check for RFE evidence
August 3rd - Called USCIS again. Tier 2-rep said she cannot share whether they have received my evidence or share the status of my case because it is sensitive. She shared an address (above) that I can write to and hung up!
Late Aug - Invitation to interview
Sept - Got 2-year green card :)

2017
Got 10-year green card

2019
Dec - Divorced :(

2020
July - Applied for citizenship based on 5-year permanent residency in PA
Aug - Moved to GA and submitted AR-11

2021
May - Received notice to reuse biometrics and invitation to interview in PA
June - Interview in PA, passed! Case moved to ATL by interview officer

Oct 2021 - Invitation for oath ceremony in ATL

Oct 2021 - Descheduled within 24 hrs for oath ceremony in ATL

I would ask the officer this question at the beginning of the interview.

You did the correct thing by filing address change. However, had I been you, I would have used new address right from the beginning. I have a friend who changed address then a week later got notice for interview at former address. He went and did the interview. Unfortunately, the IO said she passed but the case has to be transferred to her new FO. Still waiting to see if she's gonna get new interview or just skip straight to oath coz she already passed her interview at former address.
