You got your date for the oath ceremony? o your are still waiting

No, no date for the ceremony, just the date for the interview.  However, it appears they are trying to get rid of the backlog of N-400 applicants in Miami, FL, because they are booking people for interviews from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  I suspect they might do the ceremony on the day of the interview.

This is from the USCIS site :"

1. Receive a Notice to Take the Oath of Allegiance

"You may be able to participate in a naturalization ceremony on the same day as your interview. If a ceremony is unavailable, we will mail you a notice with the date, time, and location of your scheduled naturalization ceremony on Form N-445, Notice of Naturalization Oath Ceremony."

It was allover the map, when I received my biometric notice in April it dropped down to 3 months and now that I have my interview appointment for next month it is back up to a high of 13 months.  Do not pay attention to completion information, it is never accurate.  If you were to speak to someone about it at USCIS they will tell you the same thing.  Completion time has never been in sync with reality.

We also filed for citizenship on July 8, 2020 with a pending I-751.    On April 9, 2021 we received notice that the interview for your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, was completed but no interview took place. On April 12, 2021, the case Was approved but no10 year green card was sent.  The form I-797-Notice of Action stated that a green card was not being sent because the N-400 was approved which was an error because on April 13, the Citizenship interview was scheduled for May 17th.   Since my wife  needed a green card to secure employment, we wrote to the agency and they said to ask the USCIS officer to mail the green card to us.    We notified the officer of the issue (the officer invited me in as she assumed we were having a joint N-400/I-751 interview) with the green card and she said she wasn't sure what was going on with the error. My wife then passed the exam and was recommended for approval of her citizenship.   However, instead of a celebration,  our experience has shown no to get your hopes up. .  So now we have paid for both the green card and citizenship and for now have neither.  Not a word from USCIS as regarding approval of the N-400 or oath ceremony.  One step forward, two steps back.

Saturday 6/5 I received my Biometrics appointment on my account. Received the email from no-reply@uscis.dhs.gov with "We have taken an action on your case and it needs your attention".  Appointment is for 7/2/2021.

Has anyone in California seen any progress?? 😕

Last thing we received was the "biometric reuse" back in December. In March, we requested a case update and heard nothing.

Yes. I received my biometrics reuse notice in December. Then, I got my appointment notice in May, scheduled for June. Sacramento office. They'll get to you soon!

California is huge with several different field offices which all have different processing times, you need to specify which field office you're talking about. Los Angeles alone has three different field offices. The field offices in downtown process cases at about 9 months right now, from the filing date. I was done after about 10 months, back in March.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017

ROC: 04-22-2019 - 04-22-2020
Naturalization: 05-01-2020 - 03-16-2021

U.S. passport: 03-30-2021 - 05-08-2021

I'm curious about state in General. We applied in the SF office.

I would not fret. The best thing is you went for the N400 interview. I would not even concern myself with the 10 year GC at this time.

What do you mean your wife needed a GC to secure employment? She can use the expired GC + extension letter. The extension letter extends expired GC by 18 months. My employer had no issues with it.

Walked in today and got my biometrics done earlier. Status on my account changed to Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS.

So you are saying your appointment was 7/2/2021 but you walked in and was able to do it 4 weeks earlier?

We had an era 4 months or so ago where it was always being messed up. I fixed it numerous times during that period. You may have last visited it long ago before that era. We had called people to come and fix. Just go ahead and fix your data. We have not had anyone mess it since 4 months ago. So we are good now

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Yes that is correct. You have to make sure you go at a time when it will not be busy, they open at 6AM and I was there first thing in the morning and they took me in but they did explain that had they been busy they would've said no and I had to come back another day and try.

Told someone to do this. I was heckled. I knew I was not wrong.
