Just got an interview notice for May 25 as well, filed July 10, 2020.  Any advice on where to find materials to study for the civics test?

Hey there, they gave me a piece of paper at my biometrics and encircled this link my.uscis.gov/prep/test/civics to study for and practice the civics test. Good luck! :)

Good luck kabayan on your upcoming interview. 🙂  As long as you study the civic test and your N400 form there’s nothing to worry... Go go go!

Thank you, Kabayan! Praying it goes smoothly and without any problems! Congrats to you, btw! 🙏🏼🙂

Hi guys, I have a question for NYC filers who have had their interview already. Did you receive approval on the same day? Someone on Reddit said they were not approved on the spot and they received the decision the following day via email and that this seems to be a protocol now that they don't inform you of the decision and that you have to wait for it. If you have your interview coming up (mine is on May 27th), I would appreciate it if you could share your experience. I'll do the same once I'm all done. Thank you and stay safe everyone! :)

Hello guys, I have my naturalization interview coming up next month. When I submitted the form N400, in the part where it asks for all names used, I forgot to include one. Back in my home country, my name works in this fashion: 2 first names followed by my mom's maiden last name and followed by my dad's last name. I found one ID (NY State Benefits Card for Medicaid as well as the insurance card - both of which I never used) only shows my 2nd first name and last name. Aside from that, all my cards and all my records including my green card and state ID bear my full name 2 first names + mom's maiden last name, or its initial + dad's last name.

During my Biometrics appointment, I wrote down the name I forgot to include in the N400 form in the other names used on the applicant worksheet provided (which they never took and only returned to me).

I would assume that they run all the combinations of the name with the fingerprints when they do the background check prior to scheduling the interview. Must I bring this up during my naturalization interview? And if so, will it cause any delays? Anyone with this experience who can share - I'd appreciate it a lot. Thank you!

You wrote all the 4. So I see no issue.

It would have been an issue if you'd written 3 out of the 4.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Hi VisaJourney members

So, finally my wife had her citizenship test this last Friday. She said it was very easy the officer asked very few questions and the civic and writing test, he told her:”Congratulation, you passed the test”. She had a pending I 751, which was not even brought up from either of them (the officer and my wife) at the interview. Today I checked her I 751 statue and it was approved without any interview or calling me in or even to ask for other evidence.
Her oath ceremony was scheduled for May 17.
Thanks everyone and good luck everyone who still waiting to be approved and congratulations for those who already finished the journey.
