Hey guys. I’m I the only one who’s still waiting to hear about biometrics? My case was received on 7/28. Brooklyn, NY filer here. This is day 79 since status updated to Case was received.

Filed on 7/11 in CA and I still haven't heard anything, either.

If you haven't heard anything seriously call USCIS.. listen to everything the first officer/person says about not being able to give any more information (which is basically a script)

and then say ''Can I Have a Tier 2 Officer Please"....

The Tier 2 officer can send a ticket to your local office about just about anything...

I called, did that and in 2 weeks had a biometric appointment... (as the Tier 2 officer said would likely happen)

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Wow! That’s insane! Some people from other states have already been scheduled for their interview

It is not bad to carry extra. Just make sure that they include whatever they are requesting for in this letter.

However, for me, I always give exactly what they ask for

I'm a mid March filer, and have been given the same script over and over again. My ASC has now completed 85 days since reopening. It is frustrating to read that people who filed months after I did are getting bios. I feel like the only way forward is to force this issue by contacting a senator.

I have bad luck with requests to talk to supervisors with customer rep style stuff. Maybe b/ cI'm a woman and people automatically assume I'm a "Karen" which became more of an issue after this summer-the rub is that I"m not even white, not from the perspective of the West at least-but this may be why I always get deflected with asking about a tier 2 officer.

How do you find out when the ASC re-opened? Is it true that after 90 days of no activity on the case you can call to enquire about it?

I found out about when it opened on these forums and then verified it with an agent. People knew about it b/c they were checking in on it back in June and July. so most ASCs had been slated to open after field offices in early June and then they kept on postponing and postponing, for whatever reason (they use the covid excuse but it was really $$$$$ since they cut back on contractors) and they all opened from around July 20th to July 27th.

Yes the 90  day rule is the official line. But I heard from some people who just hit the 90 day mark that agents told them the same script-no further info dadi dada dadiadaaaaa dog ate my homework.

So it won't do us any good if they don't have staff working there and are hiding behind the 'each case is different yadi yada yaddiiiii yadddaaa' bullcrapshit.

The other excuse I came up for them is this twist: it is 90 BUSINESS days. go on a google calc and you'll see this puts us to mid December. holidays. second or third spike in covid dadiadada and we are in 2021 and still waiting.

I earn my living debating and arguing so I can think of institutional excuses off the top of my head. I can come up with more but the business day thing will grant them another 6 weeks or so sadly. but watch and see-this will be the new line.

Anyone tried to call them with some success? Mine is also stuck in the "We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time." limbo with not even the biometrics done.
