Field office Seattle

no bio,  no news.

Is Seattle doing any bio reuse? I’ve heard of people in other states getting it, but nothing in Seattle. Strange since they always have such a backlog.

Don't worry, I didn't see anything for Texas either. I guess smaller the town and state faster the service is.

Biometrics scheduled for October 23 in Tampa...

One of the unlucky ones having to redo biometrics..

how old were you previous biometrics? I've read some posts where it's been waived if biometrics were previously done within the past year, but has this been extended further back because of covid-19?

Agreed and mine were from 2011/2012 and they took them. No rhyme or reason sometimes.

I-751 file: 11/07/11

NOA1 date: 11/10/11

Biometrics: 11/30/11

Approval: 08/17/12

Hold what you got and maintain.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

My case completion shifted  further for the second time. First was July, then September and now October 2021

I just seen mine, it was October 2021 (13 months) and now it is April 2022 (18 months). This is crazy.

I urge peeps not to freak out about case completion dates. The main thing is whether your case is moving or not.

If it is held up because of paperwork not being complete or a background check being difficult that is one thing..

but if you are getting your biometric appointment reasonably (about 90 days or so from the date your local uscis opened back up) then you will probably finish sooner because the only thing left is an interview...

.. my 2 cents... from what i have seen the completion dates fluctuate office to office, month to month and are pretty unreliable..

If you are still worried call USCIS and ask for a Tier 2 rep to ask if there's a problem with the application that would have resulted in a delay..

.. the application I have for my wife has an average completion time of 9.5 months to 15 months... at one point it said 12months-15 months

I told her she would probably be a citizen next summer...  now biometrics are set up the case completion date is listed in the profile as February (7 months)....

There are perhaps people on this sub who did not go through RoC or another longer waiting process but I am perplexed at folks still putting a lot of faith in the case completion times, especially during a pandemic induced field office/ASC location shutdown and budget concerns for the USCIS. If anything, why wouldn't we anticipate things to take longer than usual? And we know there isn't much we can do besides wait, and can't open cases until your're outside the case completion time which can be a few months to 20+ months. You'll keep getting generic messages until you're outside your estimated case completion time window. It's a wait game that we've played before for other USCIS change in status/applications, why get antsy now? I apologize for the directness of what I'm saying but the forum is supposed to be helpful to keep track of how others regions are doing to see how cases might be moving at different paces in different parts of the country but the constant "why is my date moving" questions and comments are truly tiresome.

That's just how some people are. As for the "case completion time" some were accurate. I can confirm my estimated time moved a couple of times and in the end it was accurate. Maybe it was luck or just my field office but it can be accurate. I also think this forum can only help so much...everyone has different case, field office, and overall circumstance that it almost won't matter how much you track others here to find out when your case might move. That's what i learned anyways on here.
