July 28 2020

It's not easy but we can see a light at the end of the tunnel today. The consulate closed the week of my DQ and since then it has been an endless suffering. I am in Brazil separated from my husband and he has been coming to see me every 6 months. Besides the financial expense, at each farewell it is a sadness that one day I want to forget.

Now we have to hold on to the anxiety and be patient a little bit more 💖

Today the consulate started rescheduling the interviews of the people who had cancellations last year (February/March 2020). I got this information from people who received a scheduling email.

Great news! 🙏🥳🎉

Even if it takes a little while for your turn, the important thing is that it started.

Thank God!!!

Do you know when these interviews are being scheduled to?

My DQ is May 28.

Awesome! I wonder if they are prioritizing immediate relatives visa.

I read an email where they clearly said they would be attending spouses and children at that time.

Then other types of visas like k1 for example.

Is this someone else’s DQ that they shared with you?

I already got my wife’s Certidão Antecedentes Criminais renewed yesterday just in case they want new ones lol. Technically the Consulate only accepts ones that are a year old, so it was needed.

Yes, I am part of a Whatsapp group with many people who are at this stage and people help each other and share information, including rescheduling and expediting interviews so I shared here with you what I had access to.
I will also take my background tomorrow and make copies of what I believe is important to take.
I believe our scheduling date shouldn't take long to be sent to us because we are the first of march 🙏🙏🙏🙏
