How many June 2020 NOA2 recipients are still waiting for their case to leave NVC

I don't even think we will have an interview before the end of 2021. This wait is getting old fast and so are these pansy countries that aren't doing much.

For those of you who are still waiting it's time to start rattling some cages. Here is the contact information for USCIS>

This is for USCIS Customer Service Contact Information

Option 2:

  • Emma, our online virtual assistant, answers questions in English and Spanish, and guides you through our website. If Emma cannot answer your question, she may connect you to live chat with an agent.
  • Automated Help—Our new speech-enabled phone system answers general questions 24 hours a day. Dial 800-375-5283 (TTY 800-767-1833) and ask your question in English or Spanish. The system will answer your question and can send you links to forms and information by email or text.

  • Option 3:

Still waiting here for the embassy in the UK to start accepting the documents from NVC. The unknown of embassy reopening/resuming visa processing times is very grating. Doing our best to hang in there

I'm right there with you. We're losing our patience here especially with yet another lockdown.

Just called the NVC again to confirm we've done everything on our side to get our application sent to the embassy. This proclamation needs to be lifted. What the most confusing thing is, my fiancee is happy to go to sunny Mexico for 2 weeks after being approved - we just need the embassy to accept and process them!!

Also confused how Milligan v pompeo can only apply to those that joined the lawsuit. Can we just get a new one going?

Anyone can sue USCIS. And anyone can start a new lawsuit. But with just a view more days until King Biden sits on his throne, you may see an entirely different immigration system. Just saying.

Thanks Greenbaum.

You are right, I haven't recived a P3 due to the US embassy in Ankara Turkey haven't resumed routine visa operations (which includes K1 visas).

My fiancee just have recived a letter (it took more than a month!) from NVC stating that they have forwarded her case to the US embassy in Turkey with a case number, but no invoice number anywhere!

WhatsApp Image 2020-11-21 at 8.01.52 PM.jpeg

Hey,

I’m curious if we should transfer our case to the embassy in Turkey too. My fiancé has a Turkish residency. The embassy in Nigeria isn’t “processing K1’s” at the moment. Supposedly. So our case is still at NVC, since June like many of you.

From the letter you shared it appears NVC plans to send your case to the embassy in Turkey so I’m assuming they are processing K1’s? Has the embassy received your case? If so we’re you given an interview date?

I plan to call NVC on Monday to see what we can do. The waiting is getting unbearable 😭

I would believe that transferring your case to the Turkey consulate would be in your best interest. Here is what you do.

The procedure that you should follow is an email via asknvc.gov and put in the request the following information via the Public Inquiry Form (the email as referenced above)

- Go to NVC.state.gov/inquiry

- Fill out the necessary information

- In the box titled “Type your question below” You are instructed to write exactly the following: “I am the petitioner and I wish to change the interview location to ______ [name of embassy/consulate] Attached is principal applicant’s proof of residency for _______.” [for the country in which the interview will take place]

- Add proof of residency using the attachments. This can be a residency card or the bio page of principal applicant’s passport.

I got an email from the embassy about the list of documents I need to prepare before the interview, so what should I next?. other questions:
1. who's going to schedule the interview? is it the applicant or the NVC or the embassy?
2. they said "You have four months to complete all documents and schedule the appointment." so is it 4 months to scheduling the interview? or the interview date shouldn't be more than 4 months from the expiration date? this question is because I don't think I can schedule an interview sooner because of travel restrictions and work stuff. can I extend the validation dates?
3. What should I prepare to ace the interview?
4. Worst case, pandemic not getting better and I can't travel to the U.S then my visa expired what can I do? can I extend the visa?
5. If a medical exam expires before going to the U.S, do I need to have another medical exam?

thank you

For Indonesia they are letting the applicants schedule the interview through the travel docs website. Once you have paid the MRV fee and filed out the DS160 you can send a message to the medical center and ask for a medical appointment and then schedule your interview for as soon as two weeks after. I think you have four months to complete everything. You can do it as fast as you like though. We paid our MRV fee and filled out the DS-160 a couple months ago so my fiancé is scheduled for his medical on Jan 18 and Feb 1 for his interview.

Follow the instructions in the P3 Letter from your Consulate. Link is next:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gNE59CSXcFjVhiBa3tLYFclDtj3f0nCp/view?usp=sharing

Starting 1/2019 Indonesia requires the Tax Transcript and not the 1040.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.
