Good news, the status has changed to 'ready' after 20 days! I have done the DS160, and the MRV Fee is paid and linked at CGI, I have the option to book an Interview (hallelujah!) but I should definitely wait for the P3 to arrive correct? Will share more information as I go along 😇 In fact I have the option to book the interview a month later on 25th November, I don't know whether I should just take that slot first? (I know I should be patient 🤣)

Book the earlier appointment. Here is all that you need to get started without hearing from the embassy and their P3 as I have it below in one of the links.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

Our K1 visa was approved today!!!!! She’s finally coming home!!!

Congratulations!

Do not sell your house, car, or property, resign from your job, or make non-refundable flight or other travel arrangements until you have received your immigrant visa. I have seen some who have had long delays between the interview and the issues of the visa. Just saying.

Check over the visa to be sure there isn't any spelling errors. If there is contact the Embassy for further instructions. Keep the "do not open" pouch in the plastic and stowed away in her carryon luggage. Luggage does get lost and without the "do not open" packet it will be a difficult problem for her at immigration once she arrives at her POE.

I just called the medical centre and they said they have stopped doing the health checks for US visa for a few months now! Weird. Perhaps USEM got a new provider.

Your profile has the flag for Singapore, but you reference SLEC/USEM in your post. Where are you interviewing?

I am interviewing in Singapore. Oops, I thought the acronym for USEM meant the local US Embassy 😂

I'm have heard the debate about "USEM" a number of times. Some say it's US Embassy others, especially those from the Philippines understand it to mean US Embassy Manila as I do. I for one want to be sure that I am giving you factual information so hence my question. Thanks for your answer.

I got my P3! It's updated to reflect a new provider @Greenbaumshall I message you a copy? Also on the checklist page, it says to enclose 1. Form 1-134 and 2. Medical Examination Instructions, does this refer to the instruction email sent by the clinic?

Hi everyone.

My fiancé I-129F petition was approved on June 5 (I hope I'm in the right thread)

NVC received it around Jun 30, then NVC forwarded it to the US embassy in Ankara, Turkey (that's where my fiancé is living) early October.

Am I missing something? shouldn't NVC send me a welcome letter with instruction to pay for the visa and request additional financial documents before sending it to the US embassy?

I've contacted the US embassy in Ankara and they confirmed receiving the application but told us that they are not processing any K visas.
